What's Happening to Busch Gardens in 2025?

- Lots of things happening at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay this year with a new exciting opening- but there's more uncertainty than anything.
I'm taking you into the construction site of Wild Oasis - North America's most immersive kid-friendly adventure realm, opening this Spring 2025. We take a closer look at the new Tree Top Drop, previously Wild Surge, that has sat unused for over 5 years, and is now being completely reimagined into something fun and interactive.
But lots of unknowns, what's happening to Kumba? Why did Kumba close unexpectedly? Why is Scorpion still standing but not operating. Is the Busch Garden's Giga still a possibility?
I'd rather have Kumba than a giga, call me sentimental.
Retracking Kumba is better than to add a whole new system
Why not both?
Give it the hulk treatment
lots of love for your idea- but i like @cheezbat's idea below.... give me both :)
@@zooderloopers he's real for that
Great journalism there and fantastic questions. Much appreciate the updates that you have given. I need to go.......
thanks for the support! and yes you do!
They be teasing us with the Giga omg
at least teasing something bigger.... but tbh to be bigger than wild oasis just means bigger than 45 feet lol. the faster got me tho
This video is great quality, shocker you aren’t more popular. Keep going and have a great year
appreciate the love!
Your video production is crazy, you need more recognition
this is recognition that pumps me up - thanks for the kind words!
Love when my algorithm recommends smaller channels that pump out great videos
yoooo this is so great to hear- thanks for watching!

My question is: How will Wild Oasis interact with Jungala? The old treetop trails were still distictly Jungala, but now that those are being sectioned off into a new land, will Jungala be doomed to that little strip of path with the orangatans and tigers?
Kumba is in need of a part required by B&M, B&M has all ready been to Kumba and is currently dealing with the situation.
yooo that's the first i hear of that! hearing that roar will make a ton of people really happy again!
Great to hear
As of February 6th, kumba is testing.
B&M shut the ride down during and required it to have a mandatory refurbishment, it has now been apparently given 5 more years of life.
It would hurt to see Kumba go it was my first ever coaster. It has a special place in my heart.
I Atleast hope they reopen kumba for a little while so that people actually have a chance to ride it one last time
I love Kumba! I am hoping it's not done for good. I went on Scorpion's last day of operation, would love to be able to do the same for Kumba
Happy to see they are doing something with Jungala. It was such a cool area for kids and overlooked by many. We have passes to Disney and Universal as well and I'm not sure either of them has a better area for kids..though the new area at U Studios is pretty nice (though not as interactive). My daughter used to love the 'drop tower'. It was perfect for the kids who aren't quite ready for the monster ones yet. Everytime we go to Busch I say 'why dont we come over here more'. It's great in summer as it shaded much more than the Orlando parks and usually not as busy.
I never got to ride Kumba due to its recent closure when I visited, so I'd be sad if it goes, but I do agree that something new would be cool if it lives up to and exceeds the reputation of Kumba
oh noooooo it's an amazing b&m and really awesome how well it's held up over all the years
oh my god i came here for rollercoaster updates BUT THEYRE GETTING CAPYBARAS NO WAY I LOVE CAPYBARAS SM
let's gooooooo
O
They need to fix the food situation and the constant issues of rides being down. I have a season pass and I’ve never been there without a ride down. Usually more than one. And the food is so bad
My first time here. Subscribed she liked. I like all amusement park news. Thank you. I just went to Busch Gardens a couple months ago. Haven't been there in about 20 years. Has really changed. Remind me to never get on Seringeti Flyer again. Crap! I put my 7 year old on it. They need to change the height requirement of that ride to 7ft. Lol 😅
Kumba was testing not too long ago. It'll hopefully be back soon
I can see where your thoughts about Kumba come from (its supposedly a lift motor issue btw). And you're absolutely right about the generally low wait times, even with only one train ops for the past year. But I might disagree with the overall idea that "Kumba's just going to silently close"
Kumba is THE coaster that put BGT on the map for so many people back in the day. Also, the last time a coaster closed, BGT at least gave us a warning to get your last rides, unlike the new Six Flags chain for a much more iconic ride. Thats why I might have to sell the idea of Kumba being gone forever. I have a firm belief it will stay for the long haul entirely due to the fact that it's a fan favorite (maybe not the gp magnet it used to be, but still a fan favorite), and I find it unlikely BGT will just call it quits without warning.
good points. they’ve never given us no notice!
Crazy how they did this before Disney released a ride😮
Well I actually talked to an employee at Busch Gardens Tampa about kumba and they say that allegedly the motor broke after Hurricane Milton leading to them having to fix it for 6 months and apparently Park officials saw about this and quietly closed it no warning no proper send-off nothing without even the general public consent.
I mean I love Kumba, but a giga... I'm so conflicted now lol
same same same.
If I was there when you said you wish it got ripped out I’d throw hands.. They won’t remove kumba, it’s a important part of the park’s history and broke records when made. Its not down for maintenance often so it’s nit hard to maintain. They better let people get last rides in kumba
I honestly think Busch Gardens Tampa doesn't have a chance to operate a giga coaster, just because they are struggling with staffing due to low payroll of less rhan $15 an hour, its gonna put a hurt in the park if they dont have enough staff to pay them well enough to keep staff long enough for them to actually work hard enough like other parks do
Im just saying we all want a giga but it takes alot of staffing to operate a large amount of business of guests attending to ride the attraction imagine 2 ride ops on a extremely busy day and only one train running at over 200 minutes wait
It literally takes one train the most on iron Gwazi a total of 200 seconds to dispatch from the station
So i think they should focus on other important attractions, shows or etc. than to build a massive attraction that might fail because if short staffed
Just being honest here
interesting take that doesn't get talked about- the employee wages. personally- i think that any attraction addition (big or small) requires staff. so if by that logic they can't staff a giga, they wouldn't be able to staff ..... any other coaster. if they can run it half as good as seaworld runs mako, it would be a big W
They don’t give a shit!! Nothing is gonna change will new management comes in!
Wow, so groundbreaking. But wait, doesn't all this sound familiar? A drop tower, a splash pad, a climbing area? Jungala was crap since it was first introduced and now they are just retheming it? I thought the whole area would be bulldozed. Busch Gardens is dead.
Yeah no. We're making sure kumba stays for a long time. We'll even have it get the Hulk treatment
Once b&M figures out how to make their roller coaster smooth again😅
All seriousness though, I hope kumba still stays at the park for a while. I never wrote it before so hopefully one day when I get over to Florida.😢
it would be weird to not hear the kumba b&m roar back there.....
King Da Ka coming to Busch calling it King Kumba😁 just hope they do get something good or huge in 25 or 26 also SeaWorld too a giga 4D a talker launch coaster like Pantheon or a Falcons Flight clone.😁
right as im going here tomoroow
Enjoy!!
That is why. Atttttt eeeeeelllliiiiiittcheeeeeeesss gaaaarrrddeddddeeeennnsss wee love youuuu ❣️
Whats going on with Scorpion and Kumba
Okay but hear me out Bry… Capybara Giga
THIS
I still think BGT needs a dark ride. Seaworld is getting a flying theater. BG needs something like that
Dynamic motion stage ride like danse macabre for both seaworld and Busch
@@coastacalimw5622 I've never been on that ride. But while the coaster enthusiasts are screaming giga, it would be better overall to have a dark ride next. Especially with how often it storms in FL.
@metallicnole4514 ur not wrong!
@@metallicnole4514 I’ve seen what it was and I think it would work at any seaworld or Busch garden … it can hold 118 people in one ride setting .. it’s the first of its kind and the specific model is at Efteling in Netherlands 🇳🇱 good thrill level for all ages
Bigger and Faster could be a Drop Towe
Kumba slander not allowed Brain ✋️
In all seriousness, low ridership is a very false myth.
Premier is rumored to have purchased Scorpion
**Kumba slander**
James: "I am needed in a comment section"
@JakeCoasters *rip and tear starts playing
Why would premier want it, where did the rumor come from?
i was thinking of you that whole time lol
i heard it on twitter a while back too. but not sure where it came from....
CAPYBARAS AT BUSCH GARDENS!!
literally i'm so excited for capybaras lol
Yo zooder can you go to Busch gardens soon, I’ll email you the date but I’m going for my first time and I would love to meet you
Yooo! Enjoy your first trip- I got a job right now that just has the majority of my attention so I honestly don’t know when my next trip will be…
@ thank you, I am so excited for gwazi and Montu, KUMBA😭😭😭😭 I hopefully can meet you one day! Hope that the job works great and your videos keep having the same charm. Have a great week!
@ I hope kumba reopens for your first visit!!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼
@ it probably won’t, I’m visiting next week and I think it’s done for, so here is my theory on what is happening, they are closing it to add a launch to Sheikra and call it lightning sheikra, they are just transferring lightning runs launch to sheikra and reproducing the entire thing so it is and rmc topper track wooden coaster, but that’s just my theory
@Lasagna765 lol I’m running with it- strong theory 💪🏼
I want kumba to stay over a giga.
giga needs to happen
*giga* *giga* *giga*
Was that a scoop!!!
dreaming that the dream comes true
Why would they close another coaster?? That makes no damn sense. You can put the giga coaster station next to the screamin swing area and be just fine!
Scorpion has been bought but not by Gene Staples
i think someone mentioned earlier that it was premier but not sure i understand why. eitherway, it makes sense that it hasn't been torn down yet.
It’s just Jungala with new paint and two TVs. Come on.
kumba does need to go
I think kumba should honestly stay. It’s something I like to see in the future but if it has a solid replacement I would probably wouldn’t mind about the replacement I might just miss kumba a bit.
Pls give us giga my home park imagine?
Nice miniature drop tower, no fun for adults
Check out falcons flight
Kumba has been closed because of that sink hole that’s opened near the rapids ride, they don’t want to risk it opening more and threatening the roller coaster.
thats def a rumor i've heard as well! if true i wonder if congo rapids would also be at risk
@ it’s been closed also for a while, I think that’s were it opened up was on part of the rapids track area. I got the info from a worker that worked at the Halloween scream event. Since Congo river rapids is right next to kumba they don’t want to risk things
@frrrfrrr9177 thats willlllldddd!
Cheesy, cheap and ridiculous.
This offers nothing to coaster enthusiasts.
Top tier RMC, #1 invert, and when operating Kumba. That’s a pretty sick lineup.
