    Great ideas! I would not have thought of planting in front of the brick wall but I really like that.
    Thank you for taking the time to put the plant specs on the videos. I capture them with screenshots that I can use when planning and going to the garden center. As always, thanks for your content ❤️

    Stunning Michelle! When we were all taught to colour inside the lines it’s no wonder adding plants to the pathway would likely never cross our minds lol. I cannot wait for the install video ❤. Would bergenia’s be a good addition for a part sun bed? I especially love the vibrant pink ones

      Yes they will. The further south you go the more protection they need from hot afternoon sun.

    My north facing bed up against my house gets morning sun but pretty much full shade from noon or 1 pm on. I have to plant things there that do well in shade, like hydrangeas and Japanese maples. I have a wonderful Rising Sun red bud, but put it in full sun since that’s what I saw was recommended. It’s great if your north facing bed gets enough sun for buddleias, etc!

    Just lovely! So much good info. Question: I would personally feel like the redbud would be too large of a tree to plant so close to the house, but I LOVE it. Do you have any advice or guidelines you go by? Thanks so much!!! Love your channel

    • @gardeningTLC
      @gardeningTLC  13 дней назад +1

    What a great video. So encouraging for me to get planning for this coming growing year. Question….do you find lungwort requires plenty of water? I planted three of them in a nice partial shade area. During the hotter days they completely wilt down until I either deep soak them or I’m lucky enough that rain has taken care of them. I value you opinion. Thank you for sharing all your valuable information and talent. Oh dear, I forgot to say I live in the Grand Haven, Michigan area and planting zone 5b.

    • @gardeningTLC
      @gardeningTLC  12 дней назад

      Yes I have had that issue as well when they get a lot more sun than they like. I had them in the back and they wilted daily, they were getting like 4 hours of afternoon sun, I actually gave them to my daughter when I dug them up. The area they will be going in will have more shade and under a tree with more protection from the sun so I am hopeful I am NOT running out there daily and watering.

    Just curious, is the 12 inch high wall for erosion control or something else?

    • @gardeningTLC
      @gardeningTLC  12 дней назад

      Kinda.....there was a slope from the house to the cottage garden and I knew there was going to be a path I would walk on and did not want the slant...thus the wall to build up the sloped area. Plus I wanted an area to build up with better soil than the hard clay.
