This kid made poker history... This is Peter Eastgate - a 22-year-old kid from Denmark who showed up at the WSOP with nothing but a dream and ice in his veins. He was known as "The Iceman," not because he was cool under pressure, but because he showed absolutely no emotion. Zero. None. Even when millions of dollars were on the line…

Some people just have luck at the right times. I hit a 3 outer in a 100 person tournament last week and ended up in the money. Ace-10 rarely lets me down, much better history than AJ or AQ...
Only luck provides the winners. Skill puts them in with chance. Donkeys will get eliminated
@PokerPlaysYT catching cards at the right time aggressive play doing it at the right time yeah there is a skill factor to poker....I don't like the word luck cause I don't believe in luck but there are to many things there that nothing can explain but getting lucky
Sheer luck
Hell when you catch thrips it's hard to loose
The king 7 fold was better than most of eastgate's play lol
Best comment
A solid lay down but he should have shoved on the K with 2 pairs that free card killed him ..
It was an impressive lay down indeed, but as someone already commented, he had to finish this on the turn already.
The Phillips play was brilliant.
I dont get how 3 sixes beat 3 aces.
Calling an all-in with the worse hand and then winning isn’t “outplaying” anyone. That’s winning a bad bet with a bad beat.
Depends. Doing it and risking most of your stack, yes, I'd agree. But not letting someone get away with an all in when it only costs 15% of your stack heads up, no. Harrington will tell you that when faced with an all in in late stages with a large stack, if it only costs around 10% of your stack to call an all in heads up, any 2 cards will do.
@ OBVIOUSLY if it's cheap then a call can be worth it, and you shouldn't need someone named "Harrington" to tell you that. Regardless, this is not "outplaying" anyone. I key on the word "outplaying" because it is in the title of the video.
@chriscarlson516 I didn't need someone named "Harrington" to tell me that. Simply showing that even a pro WOULD tell you that. As far as "OBVIOUSLY", it was in response to the idea that the commentator said AQ should be an easy fold. I agree though that he really didn't outplay anyone even on that call for 15% of his stack. Luck was definitely on his side.
@Raines440 But.. but.. you just said Harrington will tell you... First you bring him into the conversation, then you disparage him by saying he isn't needed. Poor Harrington, what did he do to deserve this treatment. :X
@invoangelus FFS dude, was just saying he will tell you what most already know. You just want to argue. You aren't a professional player and never will be. Now, FO. Goodbye
When the commentator has little to no poker knowledge...
Yeah. This video is terrible lol
AQ seems premium to me
its AI
So lame these RECAP video
I liked how the commentator said its not just luck, its skill after he totally lucked on 2% river card for a win.
people always greatly underestimate the luck factor in poker......
No one underestimates it, it’s a game entirely based off luck dude. Especially when it’s fold or all in because ranges are so tight.
@meltifyss It's not based on luck, it's based on odds. Bad poker players get lucky; good poker players get bad beats.
ah yes you can totally win world series of poker tournament with luck alone you brainless haters are hilarious
@Gopstop222 nott with luck alone, but you can't win it without a very large slice of luck.
@meltifyss luck is for people who play the cards. some people play people, and this psychology not luck. and to do that, you need to develop some skills : to listen, to observe, to learn, to contain own emotions. but that may overheat your ''cpu'' and burn it. easier to blame it on luck.
Daniel singing with eastgates buddies/corner is pure gold.
They were singing “Don’t You Just Know It?”, by Huey “Piano” Smith & The Clowns.
Lol, that his name 😂. I fucking love that guy. At least what I've seen of him he never takes it seriously always playing and fooling around with everyone😂
@cleech74I remember when the kids in the movie A Bronx tale were singing it and harassing a street vendor...knew it sounded familiar...😊
He took expert advantage of his luck.
You're jealous
@phillipjackson5727you're emotional and lack logic and understanding of the situation
@phillipjackson5727no he's not. Poker is mostly all luck based
ah yes you can totally win world series of poker tournament with luck alone you brainless haters are hilarious
@Gopstop222 Preparing for an opportunity (luck) and taking advantage of that situation is not brainless, you kunt, wek mo fo f'ing cook soccer. Now, go squeeze on off on you mother's face if you can.
He looked so ‘chill’ because he was running hotter than the surface of the sun and knew there was nothing he could do but win.
Thats the point, being so chill is hard to do at poker
He didn’t outplay them, he “out lucked them”
Poker is luck. Especially at a final table where ranges played are very slim ranges.
Hence why poker is categorized as gambling. If you don't like luck, try chess.
@meltifyssyes, we all know that. Still it is ridiculous to call this player "outplaying the pros". He literally hit every important hand while the others had to try their best to outplay him...which was impossible, given the strength of his hands.
He won by luck, not by strong play. This is poker, sure. Yet everyone should acknowledge this.
@meltifyss No, poker with your buddies is luck. Among the world's best, poker is a High Stakes Math Tournament with cards & chips and a 2% element of 'luck' thrown in.
@StephenPaulTroup He played the psychological and emotional game perfectly.
Eastgate didn’t even blink, literally blinks
5:02 Daniel Negreanu chanting with the fans is legendary 😂
Die Eintracht
That Phillips shove final 3 with 10/9 on J high board was ridiculous.
Really terrible loool
Old man was tired and wanted to go home
Maybe he thought a good night sleep is better than the 1 million more from the 2nd place.
He was ready to throw in the towel cause he wanted to play golf the next day. @16:30
You're short staked and know you have 4m coming your way.... may as well call it a night
*gently slides chip forward*
"Phillips SLAMMING his chips down with the confidence of a man holding a King!"😂
Whoever was narrating doesn’t know poker or poker terms, case 3 means a set?
its AI crap
Twice they called trips a set.
@markconiglio7769 in EU we’re calling 3 of a kind „a set”
Wow they called the three of a kind a three of a kind. Get a grip.
wtf was this run?? holy shit...best play in this whole vid is the K7 fold, which was actually really good
Whenever i call all in with AQ vs AK, i lose. Guess i am not as good at poker as eastgate.
You're right you are not
End of a 200 tournament, I had bullets and my opponent as it turned out had pocket 2s. He was big blind so I went all in and as he was just slightly short stacked he followed. An ace comes out on the flop and I’m thinking “finally, I win a tournament”……..runner runner of 2s. FN BS.
Yeah you should never play again
Creds to Demidov for letting go of the K7
He was destined to win! Cards just flow that way sometimes
just wait till he plays against Gambledore... If Gambledore shows up, there's no way out but losing
Yup. There are gambling gods. They hate me. They loved this guy.
Wouldnt have won without the November9 final table date
how is AQ not a premium? the other guy is short stack he could shove with basically any ace
If AQo or AKo are premium hands by all means tell me where you play :)))))
@Lemuriciuyour acting like calling off 10bb with AQ against someone all in is a bad play. This is literally text book poker for tournaments.
@Lemuriciu Cool, knowing that you should be easily pushed off the majority of your hands unless you sit and wait for AA or KK
Premiums aren’t contingent on your stack size
@BJJMDOG He didn't say they were contingent on stack size. It was a comment about it being premium and he really didn't even need premium cards to make that call with only 15% of his stack.
Im an amateur who have little to average knowledge of poker and I can tell he outlucked them... this video is blowing this whole thing out of proportion
LOL i died when they move the camera from the fans to daniel cheering along🤣
This is largely luck. Where is the genius in this?
True
There's a lot is strategy and math odds
The genius is getting you to click the video.
You absolutely have to be lucky but the game requires a high level of strategy to be successful long term. I'd argue this game is more advanced than chess.
There's a lot more to it than luck. He could be on the luckiest streak ever but if can't contain his tells ain't no one calling and therefore wasted hands and wasted ops if he ain't winning anything. Thats just to start. Theres more to it but unless you're at least an intermediate player, most people won't get it.
When you're dealt the right cards😂
lololol at 11:28 speaker says eastgate bet a MASSIVE OVERBET when in fact he bet 4.6M into 7.4m
Panning to Daniel chanting was gold
This seems like a video put together by AI that has no idea how poker is actually played
Dead internet theory is real brother
13:50 the music completely ruined the vibe
The glaze in this video is wild
Wow amazing. Spikes the queen. Amazing play. AQ isn't a premium hand when short stack shuffs. Amazing opinion. But AQ is better than AK, and Eastgate knew short stack had AK. Amazing. Now he's the big stack, and he waited for aces, but guess what, he didn't go all in! Wow, amazing play. That's so sneaky, just a raise with aces? What? Never seen before. You know that if you have aces, you don't want people to call, but he had aces, a bad hand to raise with. Either all in or fold with aces. Amazing. The commentator is very smart. Amazing IQ. His IQ must be like having aces, 11.
you know it's an AI video right lmao
This video feels like a school assignment
A set is when you have the pair in your hand and the third card on the board… trips are when you have 1 of the cards in your hand and a pair on the board.
Thanks! Learned something
Man I been playing poker a very long time never heard that I mean I know must use two but never knew in hold em I was so confused how he won with sixes
Brormissen08 Yes they're equal in value but no they're not equally good in terms of how they play. Consider you have a set of aces, then you know no one else can match you with 3 aces but with trips they can if they have the 4th ace. The odds of winning hands changes and it also lets you play the bets differently because other players can't see there's two of the same card.
Moreover even if there was no difference like this, he's just pointing out the terminology. Why are you rude for absolutely no reason?
This is the comment I was searching for, thanks. Was so confused here.
He won cuz he had a boat
More happiness than understanding
12:15 Ylon moving to mars
Going all in with 2’s is wild 🤣
what a luckbox
I remember watching this back in 2008..it's not the same anymore because it's not on TV anymore
Most people would not scream all in with pocket AA's, with that chip stack. lmao. Solid video, but that was a weird statment.
I feel like its some AI narrator
@kubby1331 yeah i agree
It’s AI
2008? damn, he's old now
The title to this video should be "RUNNING LIKE GOD"...
Nothing run with winning every all in, but I wouldn’t call it genius.
East gate looks like Jesse eisenberg that played in now you see me
Someone please educate the speaker as to the difference between a SET and TRIPS!
And it really doesn't matter. Its 3 of a kind and makes no difference what you call it
Educate yourself
@andydevinewine please don't attempt to play poker ,if you genuinely do not understand the difference
@andydevinewineit matters a whole lot
A set can be called trips but trips are not a set.
Helps that he was absolutely sun running
Broo negreanu scene is the best 😂
This video should be "Bad Beats Highlights".
Just been reading a few comments so heres mine, he played, he won, he made millions playin the game we all love, yes he got lucky a few times, which winner doesn't?, he has bragging rights, rich, famous and a world champion, we all dreAm about it, hes lucky enough 2 actually live it, good luck to him
2:59 ??? That doesn't make sense... When would you ever shove with Aces, deep like that?
Its amazing how many friends you have when sitting at the final table.
Poker is a game of 50/50 luck & skill and I ABSOLUTELY love the game!
No
Commentator: eastgate doesn’t even blink. Eastgate shown blinking.
AI voiceover
Eastgate’s win at the main event was the best example of run good more luck of the draw than outplaying the opposition
Outplayed? He just sucked out, again and again. Anyone can win with a sunrun.
Se cagó en las mas importantes
1:10 If you think folding AQ against an all-in desperate short stack, when you are holding 4.5 million in chips is an "easy fold," then you aren't qualified to make this video. Thumbs down.
It’s an AI bot channel.
Legend.. If its your time you know!
Honestly, it breaks my heart how Manifest and Receive by Eva Hartley isn’t getting the attention it deserves. This book changed me. I saw the channel on youtube and my mind was blown. People need to wake up to this. Things have been flowing. money, peace, confidence. Maybe this is your moment too.
Stupid bot
i have no idea what this has to do with this video, and why I come across this comment, but I take it as a sign and will read it soon, thank you
You are winning when the luck is on your side
At 6:48 how did eastgate win he had three of a kind and the other dude had a full house
He didn’t have a full house eastgate did 6s over aces Montgomery only had 3 aces
the other guy had 3 of a kind and eastgate had full house cuz aces on flop and 3 6's
I feel like I see a LOT of scenarios where a guy delt Ace Queen beats a Ace King
10:55 if Eastgate has Kings and 5s, Schwartz has Kings with an Ace kicker not ace high. Still worse but don’t grant the 2 pair to one player and not the board pair to the other.
ACE HIGH is still his hand as the KK are a community pair
Wheres the rest of that 60 mil going .. thats crazy
Commentator on Phillips A/10 :
- Decent hand, but not one you typically go to war...
99% of players:
- ALL IN!!!!!!!!
this was a great watch
Wat a fold K-7 2 pair fold 9:30 awesome
Insane fold
He has the emotions of a rock.
He was just lucky. There’s nothing good about calling with AQ vs AK.
Always nice, when the video is in english with english undertitles that hides the important part.
6:25 "he now had a set" No he didn't...
Yes he did. 3 aces
@dantenewyork7380 he had trips. A set involves a pair in the hole.
@dantenewyork7380not a set. That's trips. A set is when he's holding a pair and the third card comes from the community cards.
2 major punts at the end of the biggest tournament possible 😳
6:42 why are the aces win isn't the 3 of a kind ace better than the 6es . Sorry im new😅.
Because estgate had a full house, 2 aces and 6 sixes while the other guy only had 3 aces
Oh I was wondering myself
The VO sounds like AI
Dramatizing a lucky event. He won against AK with a AQ.
Went all in with pocket AA while the flop 2 K 2.
Won on the river with a 2% chance of winning.
Demidov was drawn with two pairs, KK 77 while he got trips of 333.
Another trips of 555 againts A high.
Another trips of 333 on the flop.
Then final a flush against A high.
i thought he got a seven duce.... where was that? it was in the thumbnail.........
I felt so drained and tired everday. I tried everything, preworkouts, youtube gurus, morning routines that nearly killed me. none of it hit. then i saw someone mention Testosterone Rewired by David Brooks in the comments and it literally changed my life. Following everything in that book past couple of weeks made me realize I was running on empty for YEARS. wish I knew about this years ago🔥
Omg how lucky was this kid!!!! Hahahahah
dude was just running hotter then the sun
He didn’t outplay them lol he was behind multiple big hands and got lucky
"a small bet of 1.5 million"
He got so lucky no hard calls and hit every river
9.5 million , set for life
This "kid" outplayed the pros? LMAO. How did he outplayed them? By calling the all in with AQ vs AK and won even he was the underdog with around 20% to win? Saved by luck there. NO TALENT. And then at the big pot with 2% chances he found a 6 in the river? Even a toddler could have won if he got the perfect card every time. So, i stopped watching after 6:47. I had enough. I saw people winning the lottery and had less luck than this dude, he is no kid @ 22yo
you ok buddy? need a hug?
Hes right though. The title is bs
@agenericyoutubehandle
People like you are the most cringe and quite absurd that comment on RUclips
He merely stated reality and you say " you ok buddy, need a hug?"
"Human" idiotism at its finest
@cassciti896 very much bs made for tv poker hands not quite how the game is played ... hes wreckless donks some calls and gets lucky wheres the skill there
Same. Stopped at 6:44. Total bs
"I don't play the odds, I play the man."
So when youre lucky youre good..when youre unlucky youre bad? Ok got it. Also @8:39..its Trip 3..not a Set of 3. Get your facts right,Mr Narrator
This dude hit full houses on the river “Like Woah”.
Negreanu singing in the crowd got me. 😅
He's so so so LUCKY KID
Remembered him losing a ton on high stakes poker
Wheres the realistate rooky?
Been playing the mega millions or years, btw i played poker for years too. i really need a slice of luck, Am i cursed? nothing seems to work for me
who is the counsellor? nothing works for me.
I will give her a try, found her website.
Lol bots
Lol
if he wasnt a pro poker player he probably make a pro serial killer with no emotion
Peter "3 of a kind" eastgate
How dis I know Daniel was going to show up 😂
Thats crazy
i mean to win the main event u gotta run astro good, but this was something else.. LMAO
He got lucky bro. He didint destroy them hahahaha.
How does triple 6 win of a triple aces
The flip has always Sth matching the card which eastgate is holding and more so the match comes at the last card 😂😂
All i saw was a super lucky kid who kept rivering everyone!!
Another thing I remember about him is that huge bluff that Tom Dwan pulled on him on 'High Statke Poker'...getting him to lay down trips. He was
certainly flustered and showed emotion on that hand.
All these experts out here.
