  • The six-year legal dispute over RM2.1 billion in matrimonial property between the widow of late minister Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis, Puan Sri Dr. Kalsom Ismail, her four children, and her mother-in-law ended amicably today at the Syariah High Court.
Syariah lawyer Nur Hidayah A Bakar, representing Jamaluddin's mother, Aminah Abdullah, confirmed the amicable settlement without disclosing the terms.
The consensus was reached after a three-hour meeting among the parties.
Kalsom had filed the claim in 2018, involving 20 properties and several companies, against her children and Aminah.
Jamaluddin, a former MP and Malaysian ambassador to the U.S., died in a helicopter crash in 2015.
