Great video as always. Those Sunbirds had the big ejection handle e-brake, made for some fun in the snow. Good mix of cars, enjoyable to watch someone who knows how to stack cars.
My guess is that they’re still using them as parts cars, and maybe there’s enough of a demand for the 2000s vintage vehicles. They probably keep cars around for a lot later than maybe other ones do. These are cars that the owner of the yard was pulling the plug so to speak, so my guess is that they don’t really sell parts of these cars anymore, and that’s why they’re being crushed. It all depends on what’s being driven around that area.
The S10 was older than 92, it had the engine size plate under where the left headlight should be, 92 had a different grill and that panel and plate wasn't there
When you watch Cowboy the car crusher it seems all he does is crush relatively new cars and this place always seems to find these 1980s type cars. Why on earth does this junkyard hang onto them for so long? I am so perplexed by the differences.
Sometimes cowboy will be sent to properties where someone is getting rid of older cars that have been stashed there for years. Or actual junk yards where they do sell parts off the cars and what he crushes is mostly just the shells. At that point he’s crushes junk that’s under ten years old!
Clearly to sell as many parts as possible and or its old cars people drop off or someone bought a huge piece of land thad had some junk cars around. Cowboy crusher is in around the Dallas area guessing they get a lot of newer cars from wreck cars like ones been in accidents or caught fire I agree seamed like same stuff with Cowboy Crusher kinda got tired of watching here you get all kinds old cars and such and even Cowboy Crusher has made the statement many times its not worth my time trying to sell parts rather Crusher it get paid for it all kinda stupid some parts could be worth a hell lot more than scrap weight.
Whoa! You just crushed the last set of whitewall tires in Ford Escort size in existence with that Escort wagon...gotta wonder who the dork was that put the whitewalls out on that one-very much a blackwall style car in the looks department!
They probably did a “platform sharing” agreement. Much like the Chevy Prizm and the Toyota Corolla, Dodge Stealth and the Mitsubishi 3000GT for example.
@@TheQuirkyGarage1999 Dodge and Plymouth both called them a Colt, the same way a Neon could be either a Dodge or a Plymouth... You probably couldn’t tell the difference unless you knew what to look for.
Let's see some gas tanks get crushed pack them in between the cars your crushing cars with gas tanks anyhow so there's no excuse and I see some of them have holes already in them so crush some ⛽ gas tanks. 👍👍😀🇨🇦⛽
There's a reason they don't crush some gas tanks, and it's because if there's fuel in it, a spark could ignite it and there would be a car fire in the crusher. Not fun at all to put out, and the local FD would be asking way too many difficult questions. They would be very unfunny at hearing "some RUclips commenters wanted us to crush gas tanks" and would be asking lots more even higher difficulty questions of the yard operator and owner.
It's also not limited to sparks from metal scraping against each other, if there were undiscovered batteries in a car, they can cause an electrical spark when they short out, and are a lot more likely to ignite gas in a gas tank. There's also LPG gas, which comes in tanks, and is highly flammable, and not something any scrapper wants ignited in a car.
Finally, a decent car crushing vid without the yakin and 15 minutes of playing around with the car before it gets squished!
I'm skipping those more and more because the constant back and forth pushing those doors in. Just a little pinch is enough as shown here...
It ain't Easy being Easy 🤠👍
I just watch these to see all the rust & crunchiness going on .....
@@CowboyCarCrushing The way you piss away time and fuel is disgusting. I don't know how you stay in business.

The best collection of old rusty cars😃
I always love seeing the flat side at the end.
Me too. That's the "money shot" lol :-D
😂😂
Some day we will see a video of old Teslas being crushed.. 🤔
If they don’t all explode first. Lol

WOW you just crushed the last Plymouth Colt. I thought they had all been crushed by now.
That was a Plymouth summit I had one back in the day
Hooray for the red, white, and blackish-blue! (Stack of cars, that is)
Fascinating to watch the Taurus trunk lid close for the very last time
ouch !! thats a descent looking car that 1993 Plymouth Colt
That old sunbird brought back memories of my old one sad to see it go
This one is probably gonna be recycled into cans of ravioli
what I find curious about this junkyard is that I don't recall to have seen many ( or any) 2000 and newer cars....

@@organrick Notice how most of them are already badly rusted, so I suspect that's why the owner's pulling the plug on most of them
One video had a 2003 Intrepid police car, and a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue actually.
Ehh there've been a few early 2000's cars, they're just not really old enough to be thrown in the scrapyards yet
Wow that Sunbird just vanished. Lol
Ahhh that poor sunbird ! she still had life left in her

I don’t why these are so satisfying to me but here we are.
That’s some good car squishing 👍👍

Apparently, the yards where Cowboy works just crush them, and don’t sell parts off of them.

My dad used to own that same car but it's black and rusted, but the engine broke and it was crushed
Thx guys again for a another great video, keep em coming
dang, I would have loved to have had those Skid Plates off that Red/Pink S10
The Plymouth Colt was sold in Germany as Mitsubishi Colt.
Keep'em coming love your videos
i had a black sunburd like that, had the spoiler, v6 stick shift. i also had the 4 cyl version, both went like hell.

I saw an escort wagon getting crushed in the last video
Its worth watching the GM vehicles get crushed they were such junk especially S-10s
why dont you guys fix the hydraulics on the loader?
You don't see station wagon's that much anymore
Cadillac CTS Wagon is bad ass!

I wanted a mirage cpe to do a ( 4g63 16v dohc swap to )😥
Ok what's up with these escort wagons getting crushed is there something I should know about them?lol
Finally
I didn't understand why the Mitsubishi Mirage & Dodge & Plymouth Colt was in the same kind & shape that's confusing 1 is Japanese the other American

Yep!!! You got it
Was car #2 a dodge colt or an Isuzu I-mark???
according to the description the 2ND car is a 1993ISH Pontiac sunbird so im guessing u meant to say 3rd which is a 1993ISH Plymouth colt...

Why are those classic cars from the 90s being crushed
Because there junk! Why else?
Why are those well used and rusted out cars from the 1990's being crushed-there I fixed it for ya 😉
They’ve been rode hard and put away wet
