Mate, you are doing everything I want to do to my bike. You are like my twin brother from another mother down under or something. Damn I love how my bike will look. Lol. PS no really man quality work for real.
Looks clean. Another good rear mount is directly on a sissy bar if you are not into mounting directly onto the fender and like the idea of a sissy bar of course.
They do the plate mount with rear light and indicators built in too, lets you really clean up rear end. The number plate illumination is really poor though, surprised I haven't had a pull for it yet.
Tell me about it mate, it looks killer just terrible illumination at night. I saw the ones with inbuilt indicators but our toad rules say there needs to be like a 30cm gap between the indicators.
Nice neat job. Looks heaps better! I won't be doing it on mine I live in the nanny state (AKA VIC). I copped a $148 fine and 3 demerit points the last time I modded a number plate holder. You should have a think about a radiator guard. I got mine from Rad guard. It looks stock, bolts on easily and protects from stone chips.
@Eric Sekkouah ouch, that sucks man. Thats half the fun in owning a bike, modifying it and making it your own. I'll check out the oil cooler guard for sure man.
Have you thought about pairing this with the Custom Dynamics Radius Laydown License Plate Frame Mount For Harley? It might give it a better angle or look.
I did think about it but the mount holds the license plate up and off the rear fender. I personally prefer the number plate bracket lying flush on the fender.
Hey how did you work out which of the 2 existing wires on the bike matched the white/black ones on the plate frame? Just try different combos till the LED worked?
Nice but it won't help us here in EU countries where authorities insist on insane sized license plates - I don't face side mounted license plate holders either BTW. SO I am stuck with the original one. Question there is , are the OEM ones with LED or incandescent bulbs - I think one of the bulbs is gone but I fail to see how I can open the bloody encasing.....cheers.
Will this fit on a 2020 streetbob? I’m taking the current plate/light thing off as we speak and I’m just gonna bolt it onto my sissy bar in the mean time but the one that goes on the fender looks awesome

Hahaha cracked me up, twin brother from another mother down under. Thanks for the feedback man, really appreciate it.
Really something to watch the evolution of your street bob , love your DIY vids, details make a huge difference. Keep up the good work bro !
Thanks for the positive feedback my brother 🤙🤙🤙 appreciate your support 👍
Looks great. This is the best video I’ve seen on relocating the plate. I’m in the US so I’ve got the side mount which I think is hideous. 💯
Thanks mate 🤙

@@TheGingybeardMan So do ours in th UK. Never had a tug in two years, more worried about plate illumination than the indicators to be honest.
Nice clean look! Great work, bike gets better every video update
@Robert Bowen thanks man, slowly getting there. Still loads of stuff I want to do to it hey.
Cooles movie. In Germany not good there are points and fine, but with 300 km / h on the highway that goes!!! :)

looks good, pity about the light tho. I looked into a side mount holder for mine but was told they are illegal in Qld at least.
@Adrian Bolton yeah I was hoping the LEDs would be a fair bit brighter but no such luck. Although I don't do a hell of alot of night riding.
Hey how did you work out which of the 2 existing wires on the bike matched the white/black ones on the plate frame? Just try different combos till the LED worked?
Yep I just tried the two different combos. Nil issues.

The 2020 streetbob is no different to the 2019. So yes it will fit mate
Really dig your style bro keep on truckin my man!
Thanks man 🤙
You have a link to where you bought the plate ?
Sure do, here's a link

Why do you have amber tail light lenses? Is that an Aussie thing?
Yes mate. In Aus our indicator lights have to be orange to be road legal.
Did you need to cut the NSW plate down or anything? for it to fit in license plate bracket?
Nope it fits perfectly. I only had to cut a small piece out of the top of the plate to fit the led wiring through it
@@TheGingybeardMan thanks man I’m going to do the same. Love your videos and all the info you provide, thanks so much
@@leons5375 thanks for following the channel man 👍
Super merci pour toutes vos idées..
What size rubber washers did you use?
How’s this holding up a year later? I’m thinking about getting one..
Yeah really good mate. Only thing is the led light isn't that bright but that was when first installed.
@@TheGingybeardMan awesome, thanks bro
Can’t get mine to light up ? Any ideas
Are the wires back to front?
@@TheGingybeardMan sorted it 😃 manages to short the cable when tightening up the bolts 🙈
