Thanks for the review! I just ordered this one. Was planing on the 200W folding one but delivery isn't fast enough. Seeing this, I know I'm ok with the 100W. Our battery runs the lights, water pump and charges devices.
Just received the 200 watt package however sending it back as it’s just too heavy for me to pack in/out. Good review thanks I think I will be happier with the 100 watt package
I just bought this same solar system. I plan on taking it tent camping in a couple weeks. My plan was to purchase a 12v rv battery and a 2000watt inventor. With this setup I hope I can operated a low watt coffee maker, toast and microwave of course separately. We will see.
Thanks the insight. I live in north east Colorado and we're planning a trip to the San Rafael swell area in a couple of weeks. I just bought this exact same solar set. My concern was whether or not it would top up my battery during the day and you answered it for me, so thanks again and happy travels to you!!
We just purchased this solar panel and it worked great to keep the tent trailer battery charged but ours has no way to plug anything in. How are you using a converter when there is no way to plug it in? You need to add a video showing that. Great review. Thanks.
I have a new video that should be up in the next 7 days showing exactly how we do that. Make sure you are subscribed for that one. My tent trailer actually has a 12v plug inside that I plug the inverter in. If you trailer doesn't have one of these you could wire one in or hook an inverter straight to the battery.
Thanks I was wondering if I'm ever going to get 100% charged. I hooked up my two wet cell deep cycle batteries in Parallel. Had it hooked up charging what I thought was nearly full charged batteries. The Charge controller set on Wet cell, charged at 14.7 volts and after 6 hours I never got to 100%. Then started raining and cloudy the rest of the day. Will try again on a clear day to see if I get 100%
Do they make extension cables that can help make the solar panel cables much longer? I would hate to keep my generator outdoor all day due to the short cables on the panels.
Hello. We have a 14 trailer with 1 battery. Basically just using it same way u do. Do you think or regret not getting the 200w panels ? I’m just trying to avoid having to upgrade later if need be buy getting the 200w now. But also not sure I even need it. Thx!
Are you aware that the charge controller is on hinges so you do not need to keep lifting the panel to see it? Simply tilt the controller down to view it.
Does the angle of the solar panel to the sun make a difference on you location. Seems like There was some comment about that issue but curious if it really makes much of a difference. Also if you trailer is solar ready did this unit come with connectors to plug into your trailer. Looks just as easy to attach directly to the battery. Again nice job on your video.
Tje angle does not matter as long as you have a good Mppt charge controller the help make use of every bit of sunlight during charging whether it's Full Sunny or Overcast cloudy. I bought my panel for the Renogy phoenix briefcase solar generator and they are a perfect match for each other that runs my home and other solar generators and it is All Weatherproof.
Angle really isn't as important as making sure you have maximum exposure to the sun. I try to set in an area where the panels get 100% sun, but in the case there is shade or trees nearby, they will still work, just not as efficient.
I I bought mine a couple of years ago, never used it, opened it this weekend and fortunately your video taught me how to use it so thank you so much.
Thanks for the review!

U need 100AH battery , use pure sine wave inverter
Thanks for the video. Based on your review I have purchased this solar panel!
Great! You are welcome. Stay tuned for an updated video coming soon after 1 year of use.
Renogy also sell a 100watt folding panel called the eclipse..costs a a bit more..ot would be good to see a comparison to see if it's worth the extra

Thanks for the information. We just purchased the same Renogy unit and this was helpful.

inverter runs off of batteries.
Thanks for the vid. I just got a 200 amp version and hope it tops off my trailer every night too. It’s a 29 footer with two batteries
Nice, hope you are enjoying it!
It's nice to know that it does what it says in the instructions!
Usually 12.7v is a full deep cycle battery. From 80 to 100% it can take quite some time.

@@daveenriquez7790 Yeah its deep huh!
Where’s the video you made on the inverter and how you charged your laptop etc to it
Thanks for the information. This is what I'm looking for.
Question: Are you charging your phones using the ac outlet in your trailer?
I just received mine today!!!

Hind sight. Would you have gone with a 200 wt vs. 100 wt?

New Subscriber here. Nice video. I am a ham radio operator and I wonder how much RF noise is in the Renegy controller.
Thanks for the review!

Need to hook up to battery before pointing to sun.

I would like to get 1 with no controller
No problem

Too much wind in your microphone; sounds like a Jet engine...roaring!
Hindi mein anuvad Karen
SHURLEY you could get out of the wind shurley
hahahahaha 100 watts, is not a nuclear power plant XD so by 14v you use only roundabout 65watts....
