My friend, I'm also running a carbon fiber bump helmet for airsoft, I'm running it with sordins, my goggles, a gopro, and things like that. However, mine cost me only 180 bucks new, but it just wasn't made by a proper "real steel" name brand like yours is.
Now here's the kicker - One of my friends bought a bump helmet from Team Wendy that cost him 550 bucks, but his is made from some kind of flexible plastic, so I worry that his sordins wouldn't make a proper seal around his ears simply because the helmet flexes and doesn't build up enough pressure, and therefore I prefer my cheap-o carbon helmet over the expensive Team Wendy any day of the week. So when it comes to bump helmets, I don't understand the appeal of these very expensive name brand bump helmets.
Maybe the rails and NV mount are of higher quality, but in no parallel universe does that justify the price honestly.
Please enlighten me if I'm missing something!

May i add, get a surplus ACH, go to kustom ach(he has a website). He will cut your lowcut helmet in either midcut or highcut, or super highcut. All of your choice. Also, learn the difference of kevlar vs plythylene helmets. Oxide on youtube is a great source to learn from.

If you’re not a door kicker, mk18 is mostly a novelty gun, you give up a lot of ballistic performance with a 10.5, a 13.7, 13.9 and 14.5 pinned is gunna be your best balance of performance, handiness, and lack of hassle with the corrupt institution of the atf, if you want shorter and want to keep some performance 11.5 and 12.5 seem to be the best balance. But the bottom line is, if you can get away with it for whatever task you’re doing, 556 likes longer barrels, 20 inch m16s are potent rifles and are not too long for most applications, especially for civilians.

People running ballistic helmets are counting on their adversaries being incompetent enough to aim at their head. Shrapnel, however, is a different story

Nice. I bought an Ops Core Fast LE helmet when I found one half off. It's nice having a ballistic helmet. Need to get one of those helmet cases.

HHV also makes some well-priced ballistic helmets. They just moved production to the US.

The problem, as I understand it (correct me if I’m wrong,) is that ballistic helmets are typically heavy and still can’t really stop rifle rounds. That’s why most guys in Ukraine have helmets mostly meant for artillery fragments and such, which an armed civilian wouldn’t typically face.

If you’re wearing armor you need ballistic headgear. It’s that simple.

Wranglerstar is completely wrong. You can buy helmets at a reasonable price that provide ballistic protection rather than a bump helmet. Just look on google, ebay, and at gunstores. Surplus ballistic helmets are also available at low cost.
