Yeah, all those affirmation cards are based off the Good Omens TV series. I’m a massive Gomens fan and the way it slowly dawned on me as soon as I saw the art of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett… I saw Dog, Aziraphale and Crowley, Anathema, the four kids, Beelzebub, Gabriel… ‘Please don’t lick the walls’ is a poster found in Hell.
Those "good omens" cards are hilarious when you recognise the characters/scenes. I'm crying real tears at "I am so lucky everything works out for me" over a character who exists for like 2 minutes in the show with the sole purpose of being a mail delivery guy to the horsemen of the apocolypse (featured under the banner "I can depend on others" lol ) who dies to deliver a message to death himself
Yes, those affirmation cards were Good Omens themed. Utterly wild. I thought some things looked familiar and my mouth dropped open when it got ever more obvious. Wild.
The cards are definitely all good omens fan art. They have strange errors and cropping on them so likely they are stolen fan art from etsy or something.
"Explain it to the Duck" likely refers to the practice/anecdote of programmers explaining their code to a rubber duck to sort of just work through it and see if it actually makes as much sense as they originallky thought it did. And the "Magic Cube" fidget toy is a super cheap knock-off Sashibo. The real ones are obviously made of plastic segments with strong tear-resistant stickers on them, and they don't rattle when shaken because the magnets are fixed in place (and hold the different configurations together). I have one, it's a pretty great fidget device and has held up very well over frequent use over the past year+.
How do you shield it from electronics? I'd like to get one for my son (adult mildly autistic) but he can be pretty careless about some things. Mental image of him setting it on his laptop and then going out for hours.
That was my first thought as well, usually when you run into a problem and sit down to try and explain it to someone (in this case the duck but it can be any object) you suddenly realize why your code didn't work the way you intended. Before I heard of this term, I did run into situations where I went onto Stack Overflow and as I wrote down the comment to explain my problem, I got an "Aha!" moment of why it didn't function.
@@athenathegreatandpowerful6365 It seems pretty well shielded on it's own. the magnets aren't particularly strong, mostly strong enough to hold the segments together. I've left mine next to/on my phone with no issues.

When the one card showed Pratchett, I was suddenly wondering why they would use Pratchett and Gaiman, and then all the cards started looking like Good Omens things. It recontextualized the whole thing quite suddenly.
So I looked up Mr Biffo because idk who that is (American here) and one of the results was a Barshens video lol. Still sticking with Steve Bannon though, but super cleaned up 😂
I've seen toilet seat lifters in disabled toilets, but they tend to have a longer strap, with a looped handle that you can grasp if you have limited finger mobility. Having a very short strap with a tiny handle seems pretty useless from an accessibility standpoint.
I don't like touching toilet seats because other people's bums have been on them. I'd rather have that little lifty thing tbh. Yes this is a me problem!
That's what I was thinking. Very often when you see a product that seems useless it's actually something for people with a disability of some kind. This would be easier to grab than getting your hand hooked under the toilet seat.
Other people have pointed out the affirmation cards are all images from Good Omens, but also specifically the affirmations attached to the cards have to do with something the characters either outright say ("i believe in a clean world", "i believe in peace", "i believe in a good lunch") or otherwise some character trait they have. In other words that is a thoroughly Good Omens-themed deck!
The affirmation cards are definitely just stolen fanart for Good Omens season 1. I was so confused at first because I was wondering why they decided to put John Hamm as Gabriel as a random affirmation card. Then I got jump scared by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman
