Got tickets to see Trower again in October... first time I saw him was now over 49 years ago, was supposed to see him in 2020 but covid killed that. Last time I saw him was in 2010 I think - two nights in a row. This will be the sixth time, possibly the last.
Chat got cut off RIGHT after you mentioned Frank Marino not making an album in 24 years... yeah, I was disappointed that there had been no new music. The last album was the double CD live album, excellent album.
@@shatnershairpiece this is when I saw him in 2008. I've got photos on facebook of that show - was one of the best live shows ever. I was so disappointed that covid screwed me from seeing him again in 2020 - ruclips.net/video/KbhjwFGHZvM/видео.html
@@shatnershairpiece yeah... $600 is a bit much for those pedals, just looked at his website. I bought "Child of the Novelty" when I was a freshman in college, 1974, I knew nothing about him and I'm going to guess that it was between the album cover and the back that prompted me to buy it - was NOT disappointed one bit - bought "Maxoom" shortly afterwards, and "Strange Universe" when it came out. I got into both Marino and Trower (and a lot more) the same year.
I love robin trower especially spellbound and if you get.sick of Vancouver and its wondrous beings you could always moonlight as a cartoonist captiionist or comedian and love the riffs and i loved his concert with in 2010 or so with davey and vocals so sweet and smoothe
Interesting contrast for tourists coming into Vancouver. You got the few remaining buskers and an increasing amount of Fetanyl Zombies. I wonder what this will mean for tourism long-term ...
Tourists notice this right away. it’s usually their first comment “I can’t believe the amount of addicts in this city.” Most buskers won’t play this area anymore. I know of only two others who dare to play this spot. I had two fentanyl addicts next to me the other day, one was doing the frozen crouch next to my amp, and the other was mumbling to him and was completely ignored. it was sad and hilarious at the same time.

The first Trower album I bought was Robin Trower Live back in 77. Loved it then and love it now! Thanks To both Robins! 💪🤠🎸

That might be his last concert. He's making pedals now. I looked at them but I thought $600 each was a bit much.
