Some honorable mentions: Desert Sunlight: I'm surprised Chaos Turbo decks don't pack any of these; it's the ultimate anti-NOC tool plus it's chainable. Magic Cylinder: It IS restricted for a reason. Most people don't see it coming at all. I like using it to protect GAF in my Earth Aggro deck. Magic Drain: Neuters the Trinity and Heavy Storm. Turns MST and NOC into a -1.
So glad you did cover Compulsory! I love it on the side for my earth aggro build, especially as a turn 1 set with D.D. assailant on board, being able to just take back my monster from any kind of re-possesion is completely game changer!
The art on last turn with both spirit boss monsters duking it out is so underrated. Maybe you could do a top 10 your opinion coolest artworks in the future
Skill drain + protection is GG in 90% of games. I think people don't like the idea of lockdown and that's why we don't see it. It's not that people don't know it's strong, they just don't like the idea of it. This is something that I think affects goat Yu-Gi-Oh a lot more than another game like MTG. The community will write off cards just because they don't see them as fun, rather than not strong.
This is untrue because burn frequently makes top cut and gets a fair amount of hate. The issue with Skill Drain is just that: you NEED to draw the Solemn Judgment, basically, and you just aren't statistically going to often enough to make it consistent. And once your opponent sees it, Dust Tornados are certainly coming in. What makes burn better is that one floodgate (Ojama Trio) is not so weak to removal. You are going to have annoying tokens no matter what. But Skill Drain doesn't prevent Chaos monsters from hitting the field, which are huge beaters themselves. There are just too many answers to the card to make it get to top cuts.
Final Attack Order is another trap worth looking at. Gets over Spy, great against goat tokens and has a lot of other great uses. Tho it's mainly played in Earth aggro for GAF I like it more then Skill Drain currently.
I am genuinely surprised it wasn’t on the list. I‘ve been messing around with an aggro version of chaos warrior for quite a while. Giant orc, blade knight (negates spy), asura priest (almost lethal into goats), Don (bunch of low attack set monsters) and BLS are pretty nasty with it.
Mind crush is so so good. Even if you get it wrong, sometimes it's worth making sure your opponent doesn't have that one thing you're afraid of (like tribe) lol
Deck Devi is my personal favorite. I think it’s the strongest trap in goat and it destroys a bunch of popular decks, chaos and burn included. Plus you can combo it with mind crush if need be. Insane.
Meme deck idea for Deck Dev. Omen Gravekeeper’s. Omen can add it directly when Necrovalley is on the field which becomes live if you have a GK that becomes 2000 under Necrovalley.
What do you guys think the Anti-spell Fragrance deck looks like? Turning off your opponent's trinity seems so powerful, and it protects itself from Heavy Storm. I don't want to play cards like Metamorphosis or Last Will, since they need to wait a turn. You have Dust Tornado to play some of your own spells safely, but probably not more than necessary. The water deck seems decent. Abyss Soldier/Mobius, but you probably don't have the field spells to help you. Maybe Warriors with Cliff and Greenkappa, but seeing RotA when you already have fragrance up feels bad. Chaos Turbo is fine, delaying NoC is certainly helpful, but you have to go out of your way for extra S/T removal since you don't have anything "on-theme". Plus your MoFs get weaker. Harpies' Hunting ground is the spicy option.
Having seen a dude play several matches with Last Turn, it seemed to me to be a very one-note strategy at its most optimal which most people would quickly grow bored of. You have to simultaneously love both stall and OTKs. There's a very small segment of the playerbase that would conceivably enjoy running the card and its accompanying strategy.
Oh ye of little faith. You who plays draft would forsake the FAIRY BOX! Jokes aside, deck devastation virus I think is slept on for no reason, it’s such a blowout and if your playing big darks already your deck is aggressive so losing a monster for cost doesn’t matter when every card u summon has 2000+
Not that they’re never seen, but I’m kinda glad most people have gentlemaned out of stuff like Last Turn, Skill Drain, Solitaire decks, etc- too toxic imo.

I feel like in goats most players play either what is easy (turbo) or what they enjoy

@@BrockitGaming yeah, that's a good one that could have been on here somewhere.

Xing helps too
CCV is BRUTAL when it goes off. Was on the receiving end of it a couple games and it’s an instant loss
another big plus of bottomless trap hole ist, it could banish more then one monster(return for example)
I always try to sneak in a few Divine Wraths into my goat builds. My favorite trap card besides for Infinite Impermanence.
I'm a big fan of Bottomless Trap Hole. When it comes off it's a real tempo shift.
I main 3 compulse in my fiends deck since i play lava golem, love it, it can also protect your own monsters from destruction like sakuretsu or noc
Human-Wave Tactics jumpscare

Hi. I enjoy both stall and otk. Lol. I've always enjoyed interacting on different levels than the norm. I'm aware i'm in the minority, though.
@KuhbGames I definitely thought of you while writing it; which of course explains how it made its way here.

I will never forsake the box
Been getting DB ladder wins with a Skill Drain Water / Earth agro deck. Could I send you the list over discord?
Yeah, I'll take a look at it.
@@KuhbGames Awesome, what's your user name?

@@davestauffer9070 I love those decks and think they're healthy to have around in a format for balance.
thumbs up for mokey mokey
