Karlsson should not be in this top ten. He was -26 last year and yes he got over 100 points but is a terrible defenseman. Watch him in his own end, he's terrible. -101 in his career.
On that logic Makar or Dahlin would also not be making the cut. If not for the high offensive ability of Avalance, Makar would need to play more D and he really is not that good either when under constant pressure
@@Aiden_Baars it's an individual stat that shows how many goals for and against when you are on the ice. He would make a good forward. His defense skills lack
I wouldn't mention Cale Makar in the same sentence as Bobby Orr. There is only one Bobby Orr,, and it's no insult to compare Makar to other Hall of Famers like Brian Leach and Dennis Potvin
yes because Makar is so much better than Orr. amazing point totals in decent in he´s own end in a era where goalies and other players are absolute pro atlhetes while Orr´s opponents were mainly picked from a local pub.
@@smorandin67 he also did it with bear league opponents. People just don't realize how bad hockey was back in the day. You can put fucking ryan reaves to play in orr era and he would play 200 point seasons.
When people comment on his game its so easy to tell who has never actually watched him play. They say things like "hes bad defensively, too small" Im like listen..right now, no other defenseman is harder to score a goal on. Its all in the statistics. And when you watch him play, he always has the puck and rarely gives it away. He doesnt need to play defense most of the time. I can count on one hand the amount of times hes made a bad play this year. And thats pretty dam good considering how often he has the puck.

he won the norris, bucko
Only because of the points he got. -26 last year after getting over 100 points. Watch him in his own end.
plus minus is more of a team stat

I’d personally have makar 1 Hughes 2 and heiskanen 3

@@ozzi958insane comment at best Orr would dominate in any era and could defend ten times better than Makar
@@smorandin67 he wouldn't even make the nhl
@@ozzi958right 😂that comment is laughable Orr did all this with worse equipment a wooden stick and scored over 100 points 6 straight seasons

josh morrisey is norris trophy material
Stevie Y shopping this list!
Zero love for John Carlson? 😢 I wouldn’t put him too 5 but should easily be top 10
Worst takes ever. Hughes at 9 is criminal
True he shouldn’t even be on this list 😂
@@georgeyuanwtf
@@Enrayyy i know right
@@Enrayyy I think its best for the canucks to send him down to develop his skills
Huggy at 9 is ridiculous, top 3 for sure
I guess defining D with point production the list is ok... I still would not put McAvoy in the top 10.. he is good - but not great.
What about Josh Morrisey?
Top 15 for sure
same league as morgan reilly
Huggy needs to be higher
You lost all credibility when you had Quinn Hughes at 9.
Hugs should be higher than that
Finally some Jaccob Slavin love! Good list
I feel old AF when I see all the talent coming up. So young and so defining of the new generation of great players.
This man put hughes at 9 lmao stop bro just stop
#9? This got old fast 😂

Didn't age well. Quinn is number 1 right now. Not comparing careers here so Cale munchies can chill tfo.

Makar is over rated, 7th
To each is own! For me it's Fox that I'm not really feeling!!
lmao
Hughes should be higher but otherwise, well done. 🏒👍
