Jeff Lorber Fusion - Chick (Drum Cover) ((Better Version))

An apology, redo, self critique. Last version was lazy, a bit overdone, kick pattern not close to bass line. Needed more conviction. "Play black coffee, not warm milk" A damn perfectionist.

Ha ha your opening comment says it all. Does seem like this one you were "dancing" a bit more and playing "inside" I did not notice the kick drum/bass line interplay that much because the bass is so busy and I'm not sure what the kick drum is supposed to be doing or what you intended it to do but as the person playing the piece you are more in tune than the listener to these subtleties. Also when playing along to a pre recorded track it is impossible to inject more feel that would inspire the other players since they can't hear or feel you so that's tough but you managed to pull of a better version anyway.
