Thanks for your advise! I used Mr. Metal Color and it came off like powder.. .. i thinks its lacquer-based as well... I will try the super metallic series. lets see!

the silver paint doesn't come off in your hands? In my experience, the flakes start going everywhere and also stick to other parts of the model....Do you buff the paint after dry to try to eliminate all the residual dust?... and you are right... if you apply clear coat over it will change the color. Would be nice if you post a video of you painting the model! I follow all the F1 builds in youtube and so far you are the best one!

Alcohol-based paints make a beautiful silver color, but if you touch them, the paint will come off, right? I've experienced this too.
The paint I used for the monocoque was lacquer-based.
Even if you touch it after painting, the paint will not come off.
The monocoque of the 312T is made of aluminum.
so there is no need to make it shine like a mirror, so I decided that this paint is the best choice.
I recommend Mr.Hobby's Super Metallic series.

    amazing job!
did you apply clear coat after the silver paint (before the black washer)?

      Thanks for the comment.
I have only applied one coat of clear over the black.
I did not apply clear over silver.
If I apply clear over metallic color, it will turn into candy color.
I will start painting the wing soon.
I will show you the details there, so please have a look.
