@freemarlochip #1 yes, the DX8 was a loaner when we did the review. Shortly after Josh spent his own money to buy one. Then after that, Horizon was so kind to send us one to use on the show. #2 It is DSM 2 compatible.
Purchased this plane 3 days ago and now i can't wait to get this rocket! Great review, thanks a lot! Greetings from Germany (i hope the snow melts in the next days)...
Good review guys, have got a stock setup parkjet and am loving it. Flies unbelievably well for such a little plane. All the guys my club think it's a blast as well. I had to replace the ESC in mine as the motor and 5X5 prop as supplied was pulling 11.8 amps and cutting out (stock esc only rated to 8 amps continuous, 10 amps burst) put in a old 20 amp ESC I had lying around and alls good. Keep up the great reviews.
You guys NEED TO MAKE A PARKJET 2 video. the Parkjet 2 has been out for a very long time! please make another video! i really wanna see it! Also, what battery are you guys running with the 260 watt version?
I just got mine, and it didn't take 15 minutes to put together, it took much longer! I didn't think there would be gluing involved, or having to cut out and put the stickers on either. I don't mind that really - but can you tell me if you guys had to do the same, or did it come already put together? Very good value though, even with putting it all together! Can't wait to get it in the air tomorrow. :)
please answer my question . : Can you put a three cell on it ithout burning the ESC? I bought a 3 cell for this plane but im afraid the ESC will burn because i saw some short videos where they said you shouldn't. Thanks. Love your show.
Hi Josh and Josh, I like your videos and this plane looks like one I would like to add to my collection. Could you guys (in the future) add the links in you reviews that will take us right to the ordering page on the Hobby King site? Thanks again!
Is it worth doing the upgraded motor? Im all about uniqueness and that looks to be what I want. Different from everyone elses at the field. :) Or does adding the extra weight make it less enjoyable. Thanks Guys! :D
Hey FliteTest could you do a review of the Parkjet 2 it comes with a 4500kv motor and I just ordered it yesterday.... and would like to see how you guys handle it.
I have a epo parkjet and it was the first plane that work and I was really happy with the performanc and Flite test just to tell you hobbyking have a mod vid so I did the mod and it is crazy fast but it is 14oz and I crash it but just broke the motor mont but it does fiy very well and I will recomend it hily
I am thinking of putting a landing gear on it since I am a beginner and I''m starting to worry and think: I should have bought the beinner plane, the bixler glider. Can you guys help me finding the right landing gear on it? Thanks anyways, LOVE YOUR SHOW IT''S AWESOME!
Im looking at doing the same thing by putting that upgraded motor when mine gets here.. im excited. Did you just put the 1300mah battery up the front? Im hoping I didnt forget anything while its all being shipped at once. ^_^ Thanks fellas! Adam. :)
hi guys! looked pretty cold out there! little josh,s nose was even red,er than normal ;-] Keep up the good work! ps; please let little j fly something!!!!!
I upgraded the motor to a 355w 2200kv on 3s 5x5 it was very very fast broke 2 alloy motor mounts , now im running a custom metal mount 755w 3000kv NTM 4.75x4.75 70amp esc 4s 95c 850 nanotech 40% expo on alerons 80% on elevator weighs 0.5kg = 253.73 kph 3/4 throtlle at this speed the control surfaces bend and dont respond well. Whaiting for 4.1x4.1 prop and carbon strips to push it a bit more .
What would be a good low kV motor for swinging a 12 inch prop? I build a large wing, about as Big äs the Kraken, but i wanna use One motor and prop at the back.
Hey, I'm in NW Pennsylvania. Been snowing heavy since Saturday night non-stop. You guys must've gotten slammed too. Time for some "Winter Flying Tips" eh?
a question-most of the builders keep talking about hobby world I think its in florida, how do you order parts over line. or do they have a cataloge, every body says they order from them. please respond. thank you Ronald miller.
Thanks guy for such awesome interesting review. I'm newbie to this hobby and seeking your help. I would like to buy such plane not only because of its handy size but also because of its great solid shape and easy control. Seems that this model is outdated and I have missed it (it has been 2.5 yrs since your review). I need it shipped to Australia.Have you got any other suggestion for me? Cheers!
yo guys, me again, thanks got the battery forward and cg is now more foreward aswell. but when i throw it i just crash it SOOOO fast just drops down, made like 20 crashes, I do not reccommend it for beginners like me. didn't really know much about rc planes so yeah. found out more now.
Just watched the dogfight episode (again) and I came up with a challenge: After watching everyone have a difficult time clipping ribbons. Why not try to intentionally crash 2 dog fighters head on at full speed? It seems to me, head on collisions only happen when we don't want them to. Doing one on purpose I bet is really hard. Also, please do a scratch build tri-wing Fokker.
Quick general RC question, is it possible to connect a RTF with any third party transmitter like Turnigy 9x or frsky taranis? Who would that work? Thank You!!
Hello Josh and Joshua and camera crew. I have a got a problem with this airplane. I just bought the airplane and put a 800mAh battery in there with modified wooden motor mount because the other one broke. But when i tried it to fly it went nose up, and then do weird manoevres for like 5 seconds and then speeds down like an arrow. The foam of the nose broke and I managed to fix it with Hot water and glue that came with it and strong tape. Please help me I can''t get it in the air properly. Thanks
I've seen a lot of people on forums complaining that it's very hard to hand launch due to the angle in the motor mount. Did you guys have any problems and, if so, how did you fix them?
5x5 prop is too big for that upgraded motor, I got this plane and put the same motor in it, with 5x5 prop and after 5 minutes the motor came down too hot to touch. It needs 5x4 or 5x3
#1 Previous show with DX8, it was a loaner, where did this one come from? #2 Looks like DSM 2 compatible inexpensive RX in there? That wont help you're chances with HH supplying you with products for review so I guess you're only HK sponsored now...
I hope to buy one today but i am 12 bucks short and so i am selling two servos for the price of one.( yes i am kind of advertising lol) I have everything that i would need to fly it.
Scott is so funny, and his deadpan expression just cracks me up every time. Bixler is just perfect as a host, and Scott co-hosts as well as anyone.
@boywaimea The EPO Parkjet has been released with two different motors. We didn'tknow that at the time of the review.
@freemarlochip #1 yes, the DX8 was a loaner when we did the review. Shortly after Josh spent his own money to buy one. Then after that, Horizon was so kind to send us one to use on the show.
#2 It is DSM 2 compatible.
@century750 It's a Ritewing IYF 44. We also have a Zephr
Purchased this plane 3 days ago and now i can't wait to get this rocket! Great review, thanks a lot!
Greetings from Germany (i hope the snow melts in the next days)...
Love your show, keep it up guys! Greetings from a cold and snowy Sweden!
this channel deserves more views and subscribers
@monboy10 Me too. It's coming.

That Park Jet looks fun... I love the energy in this video... cold weather huh?
@PatBALEX We're in Navarre... Just south of Massillon.
Holy cow, that thing goes through the clouds!
@Bally46 Search Carbon Fiber Strips in the HobbyKing search tab.
these are the best reviews
check your thrust angle aswell when i done the stick mount mod mine done the same i had to bend the motor to give it some down thrust
This video gave me an idea: try making an aircraft powerful enough to carry a bowling ball.
Is it suitable for beginner.. bro?
That thing was badass!
You guys NEED TO MAKE A PARKJET 2 video. the Parkjet 2 has been out for a very long time! please make another video! i really wanna see it! Also, what battery are you guys running with the 260 watt version?
Great vid. Are you guys attaching supplied motor mount - directly to foam? Also will a 1000mAh 3C burn the stock 20A ESC?
I love that intro
2:31 lol he gave big Josh that look. epic
Really cool shapka ushanka!
I just got mine, and it didn't take 15 minutes to put together, it took much longer! I didn't think there would be gluing involved, or having to cut out and put the stickers on either. Hi Josh and Josh,
I like your videos and this plane looks like one I would like to add to my collection. Could you guys (in the future) add the links in you reviews that will take us right to the ordering page on the Hobby King site? Thanks again!
It was a reference to West Coast Choppers... not the outlaw.
Is it worth doing the upgraded motor? Im all about uniqueness and that looks to be what I want. Different from everyone elses at the field. :) Or does adding the extra weight make it less enjoyable.
Thanks Guys! :D
Better you than me friend. It was about +17C where I live when you wrote that.
Have you guys ever considered doing event reports?
Might be a cool thing to try since you already have the fancy camera gear.
I have the very similar Phase 3 Fantom with Ducted Fan, love it, it's one of my most flown jet :-)
I think another review is in order for this plane since it now comes with a 4500kv motor.
I want one now
LOVE Hobby King
Im impressed that Josh knew what Kelvins are. (got the grammar wrong but at least he knew the word) LOL.
It's a shame you can't get these anymore. They were good little kits.
Hey FliteTest could you do a review of the Parkjet 2 it comes with a 4500kv motor and I just ordered it yesterday.... and would like to see how you guys handle it.
That hat is boss. I want one.
Hey, can you make a tickle-me-Elmo plane? Or rocket?
Why do you wish for evil in the air
I have a epo parkjet and it was the first plane that work and I was really happy with the performanc and Flite test just to tell you hobbyking have a mod vid so I did the mod and it is crazy fast but it is 14oz and I crash it but just broke the motor mont but it does fiy very well and I will recomend it hily
you guys are awesome keep reviewing the planes and helis can you review the flyzone sky fly max
OH! Another idea!!! MAKE A BOWLING BALL FLY CHALLENGE!! LOL
I have got a epo park jet and it is very good but now the motor is making a cliping sond and the gold whier is blake do I have to change the motor.
Dear Josh and Josh,
Could you please make a video review of the hobbyking mx2?
Greetz out Holland!
yes i would suggest putting on a prop that is similar to the stock prop
@crbonensor It's coming.
Guess I am going to put the battery more in the front then :), bought 2s battery 1300 mAh beacause i''m REALLY beginner. thank you for helping :D
Bixler! Nice hat!
@mreisen Navarre, OH
Im looking at doing the same thing by putting that upgraded motor when mine gets here.. im excited. Did you just put the 1300mah battery up the front? Im hoping I didnt forget anything while its all being shipped at once. ^_^
Thanks fellas!
Adam. :)
hi guys! looked pretty cold out there! little josh,s nose was even red,er than normal ;-] Keep up the good work! ps; please let little j fly something!!!!!
Im from Cleveland...i feel your pain.
Hi Josh, Could you tell me how the battery is held down in the canopy? I assume velcro tape is used, but will it hold under aerobatic maneuvers?
im not sharing my hat with you! lol! u guys r great.
Nica plane, 2 greate and diferent configurations !!!
Saludos desde México.

Is this a plane that would carry a modest FPV setup if it had a little bit more motor than stock?
Thanks guy for such awesome interesting review. I'm newbie to this hobby and seeking your help. I would like to buy such plane not only because of its handy size but also because of its great solid shape and easy control.
Seems that this model is outdated and I have missed it (it has been 2.5 yrs since your review). I need it shipped to Australia.Have you got any other suggestion for me? Cheers!
I got an rc helicopter for christmas, but rc has been hard for me because they just started me off with 3d rc,but im doing well now.
i like the guy not flying the plane he IS SO FUNNAY !!!!
I love that freaking hat. way to hot here in Fl. but its awesome.
What part of North-East Ohio were you guys at...I'm in Cleveland and since Monday we've had snow....
can you take the stickers off the plane without damaging the foam?
Would y'all say it would be ok, putting a camera in this plane an ir will still proform fine?
What prop was on the stock setup? you mentinoed the stock was underperforming according to web page but did not say what you used? unless i missed it.
Hello to both of you! Do you know where I can get the airframe only for this model? I may need to replace it.
That sounds very tail heavy.
@flitetest i gues you forgot to say what prop. you were using. thanks
now im seeing hobby king which one is better. Ronald miller, im also new in the foam world.
yo guys, me again, thanks got the battery forward and cg is now more foreward aswell. but when i throw it i just crash it SOOOO fast just drops down, made like 20 crashes, I do not reccommend it for beginners like me. didn't really know much about rc planes so yeah. found out more now.

very nice
do a review of the hobby zone super cub
What kind of pilot do you think can fly this plane? Intermediate maybe?
Quick general RC question, is it possible to connect a RTF with any third party transmitter like Turnigy 9x or frsky taranis? Who would that work? Thank You!!
Yes you can all you need is a transmitter and a compatible receiver
+Nikola Milutinovic It depends which airplane, and if it uses a receiver or not
Hello Josh and Joshua and camera crew. I have a got a problem with this airplane. Sorry if you already answered this in previous comments, but what receiver did you guys use?
I've seen a lot of people on forums complaining that it's very hard to hand launch due to the angle in the motor mount. Did you guys have any problems and, if so, how did you fix them?
Missing screw(s) on the motor mount at 8:10 ?
Is that the same jet they turned into the "Rocket Plane" ?
Yeah, it is the same plane they used in "Rocket Plane"
Yea
hey...i wont to get in to rc planes would this be a good one to start with....
What a baby he was cold. He would think he was in the Artic. There is no snow on the ground.
5x5 prop is too big for that upgraded motor, I got this plane and put the same motor in it, with 5x5 prop and after 5 minutes the motor came down too hot to touch. It needs 5x4 or 5x3
question: how guys mount the 2700 motor on to it. M3 screws? how long are they?
it would be nice if you give us a list with parts/links(HK) for this order! thanks :)
is that a ritewing zephyr in the background?
@flitetest i found it on google earth :) the aerial fpv's are great for that. 40°41'4.64"N 81°33'40.80"W
@geronimoanonimo1 o by the way its the video called "FLYING Hobby King Park Jet on HIGHWAY!! hits car!! crash!! "
@stryker595 He's interested, but he's learning how to fly and getting better everyday, and he makes the show more entertaining as well
im trying to make my first rc airplane, and f35, can you make one? and have it be fpv and can you use a pc as a monitor for fpv
why most of the planes need a controller or engine or something??? pls tell me
#1 Previous show with DX8, it was a loaner, where did this one come from?

I hope to buy one today but i am 12 bucks short and so i am selling two servos for the price of one.( yes i am kind of advertising lol) I have everything that i would need to fly it.
I really want a parkjet but they are discontinued
do you know how fast it goes?
