If you were to describe Chien-Pao to someone who played previous gens(say Gen 5-8 for example), saying Weavile on steroids would be your best description.

I really love these ruinous legendaries! (Commenting for the algorithm)
They're based on the Chinese four perils, which are the antagonistic counterpart of the more famous four celestial animals (four celestial is the white tiger, black tortoise, phoenix, jade dragon one). Chien-Pao is based on Qiongqi representing Deviousness, depicted as a winged tiger who instigates war and eats people. In Japan, the same myth exists as a yokai named Kamaitachi, depicted as a weasel with sickle hands, invisible and riding the wind cutting people. Hence, the pokemon being a tiger-weasel combo lol.
Also love the lore behind the pokemon too (all the ruined quartet at that), it was slain just for existing, but was never fully killed, its lingering hatred for being killed still exists and possesses the sword which slays it. Resurrected as a sword, it gathers snow to create a new body and live filled with vengeance.
If going into Pokemon theory, Wo-Chien's dex mentions it being punished by a king, and since these 4 guys presumably originates from the east (mythical inspiration and all), east of the Iberian Peninsula (Paldea) is France (Kalos), wonder if AZ is this king that made them ruinous lmao (to not sound far-fetched, Pokemon has always had real world inspirations a lot ha-ha).

The Kamaitachi yokai resemblance is actually more in line with Sneasel, Weavile, and Sneasler’s lore than Chien Pao but nonetheless, agreed.
These games added so many good pokemon lol. We only had 3 legendaries last gen now we have like 20 pokemon with over 550 base stats

Chien Pao seems pretty neat, but I prefer that Kung Pao chicken
pokémon abilities have become more percentage based, and less on just regular stat boosts which is interesting to me

Gives us a glimpse into him playing more intelligently also. I never understood why he does so many singles set up sweep videos and doesn't at least attempt to set up stealth rock. Our boy is evolving.

I feel bad for Chien-Pao, it has a sword going through it's mouth, acting as it's fangs. if you look closely you can see it ends of the sword going through it's snout
The broken sword is it’s true form and with is power it manifested a body for its vengeful spirit

Chien-Pao with its ability paired with high attack and speed certainly makes for a dangerous sweeper. Definitely will have to prepare something to shut it down, lol!

When they say all surrounding Pokemon have x stat lowered when called into battle does it cripple ally Pokemon in raids? I see they got rid of AOE surf and earthquake hitting allies.

Cetitan is best used as a Slush Rush user. You can use Sheer force and choice scarf but it relies heavily on its (very good) coverage options. Liquidation and Earthquake together are very good against most Fire, Rock, Steel and Ground types who usually give Ice types a hard time. I really like it
