I remember the first time I drilled a hole… in a new and perfectly good hull, gives a person a little anxiety 😬 I feel ya Big B I’ve never done it but I’ve always heard it’s a good idea to put the rudder on the left and you then can angle the bottom of the rudder forward, just a little, it will pull the hull down on the left side as you turn right, rc boats tends to hop up on the wake of the other boats in a race, makes sense. This build is great. 👍
Looking great brother. Can’t wait to see this on the water. Off setting the prop and drive system will help getting more weight to the one side and improving Corning. Now this off set can can cause issues down the straight away in an oval. Heavy to one side. Center is the best option for overall performance. I always run center on my hydros.
On my old sport 40 nitro boat with the rudder on the right , the boat would roll over if you tried to turn left at all. With the rudder on the left you could fade left without rolling over. Keep up the good work admiral B.
Thanks. Good to know! I debated seriously debated putting the rudder on the right side, most vortex builds I've seen had the rudder mounted on the right. Thanks for Watching
As for some of the plastic covers that go on top of some of the boats do you put anything on the inside of them to keep them from cracking in a hard crash. I see other videos where people have destroyed their canopy that screws down on the top of their boat and I wonder if if you had a fix for that. Thank you
Carbonfiber inlay is the best option, remove the hatch screws, rough up the INSIDE of the hatch, then epoxy w/ 6oz 2x2 twill carbonfiber. This can be done on polycarbonate, abs, fiberglass hatch and hulls
My impulse 32 has a offset drive line it's more to the right looking at the transom. Need more Dinero to get Mt cat ready need at least 6 bills for what I invision. Anyway it will be awesome to see get wrecked. Lol. Peace.
I know right, I found a bad azz large scale canard I wanna build next, but the total build cost would be 1100+ us, found a smaller scale canard from H&M, still 500+ us. I'm in the same boat. BG4L

Nice job B. I know you'll have her screamin.
Thanks BG
You make me want to get my twin outboard cat together..thanks for the video great info for novice or hard-core later big B. Temperance boy said that.
Lookin bood Big B, Cant wait to see it run.
Thank you!
Sorry if you’ve covered this, but what is that blue tacky stuff you used here to mock up the hardware?
It's tacky putty, used to hang photos on a wall so you don't mess the paint up. The blue putty is a loc-tight brand.
@@IRONCLADRCnice. Thanks big b. I’ll have to go and get some before I start drilling on the transom of my 23 mini sniper.

Awesome Big B👍
Thanks for the visit
looks real good big b.
Thank you sir. BG4L
Invert your strut bracket. Cut a slot up to the transom and have like scale hydroplanes V8 powered.
I don't have any hydros with a strut setup like that yet, my next hydro will be setup like that.
