    Where have y’all been hiding Laura? Haven’t seen her before. She’s the best product explainer since John Tatooles! Only thing missing is a closeup view of the menu screen.

    Though there was a lot of information shared it could have been improved if they had zoomed in on the MixPre so we could have seen the menus which were changing quickly.
    I also understand how it is difficult to answer all submitted questions during a time limited event but perhaps written answers from the support team after the event would be helpful.

    never thought of the noise assist on the left bus and dry on the right. very smart. Thanks for the tip!

    Flawless commentary especially when quoting the manual options. I do endorse other users comments about not having a close-up view of the menus making it difficult on the more tricky explanations. Having the manual open at the same time overcomes that problem, but overall so helpful.

    Great presentation, and covering all those menus, is no small feat. Thanks for helping keep it organized in our minds at least. 👍

    Mix Pre IIs need drivers for Mac OS. That would be ideal. Also, a design update for the Bluetooth app would be appreciated. You have the staff you have the budget yet you will discontinue them, add to legacy devices, before you would do these two things. The prices of these devices almost doubled in the last two years, yet no care from Sound Devices for these tools. If RME would enter this market would definitely crush Sound Devices market share. It's been more than a year since MAC OS's Coreaudio doesn't see the MIX Pre IIs channels. They will still work but with issues... one has to restart Coreaudio, etc.

    I have one too and it is very multiusable and not so easy to use. it is complicated. Laura Y help a lot here marvellously thanks. I could use shorter more dedicated videos f.ex split from this long tutorial.😊 I use it at the moment as soundcard cause I sold my old and am waiting for a new one and had a lot of trouble being able to route the channels to Mac Logic and monitors. Got some help from your videos but I dont get that mix minus! PS. the two usb cable is mechanically 😢low quality. Looking forward to do some stream and videoaudios again.

    Hi ! Thanks a lot for your work. A question: when I record with 3 or 4 microphones, all the tracks are mixed in two stereo channels. How to obtain 4 independent tracks, or otherside, 4 wav files, one for each microphone ?

    Awesome video!! Quick question: when you're creating a mix minus in this scenario, couldn't you accomplish the same thing by sending channel 1 to usb 1 and usb 2, since previously you sent channel 1 to stereo L and stereo R? Seems like Stereo L = Channel 1 and Stereo R = Channel 1. So why not just sent channel 1? I know you mentioned busses above, but I have no idea what that means in this context...haha. Sorry, new to this!

    It works fine for me as a standalone device when I just want to do some voice recordings, but I always have problems using it as an audio interface with my windows pc. And I have the asio driver installed. My pc always has a problem detecting the mixpre though. I have other devices that my pc automatically detects with no issues whatsoever. I have a zoom f8, an old roland quad capture and an old octa capture. No problems for my pc to detect them.

    Any chance of adding monophonic support? I don’t use it as my primary recorder, but like to bring it on “high risk” evolutions of production and would be nice to be able to match primary recorder and post requests for mono files.

    Mix Pre 6 -II series is a quality product but It needs to be updated. 1) Needs another output (ex TA3), Internal Storage at least 256gb, or two memory slots and Network IP assignment (USB to Ethernet adapter). With the Zoom F8n Pro offering 8 input, 4 outputs and 10 tracks with 32bit recording for $1089. The MixPre 6 mark-II is currently $1060. Why would I buy the MixPre?

    the mixpre 10 ii has line Level outputs , the mixpre 6ii does not , the canon c70 has line level outputs but in so how do I get line level synched audio with the mixpre 6ii plugged into the canon c70. im not refering to recording separate audio , i want to synch the audio with canon c70 camera .

    • @sounddev
      @sounddev  Месяц назад

      If you have a MixPre-6 II, I would recommend recording the audio separately as you will lower the quality of the recording by relying in your Canon C70's preamp. The MixPre-6 II offers a 3.5mm TRS Stereo Output which you could run into the stereo input of the C70. I wouldn't bother running a 3.5mm TRS to XLR cable into the camera's XLR inputs since the signal coming out of the MixPre is already unbalanced. If you have a MixPre-10 II, I'd recommend using the TA3 outputs for routing to the XLR inputs of your C70 at line level.

      @@sounddev so the mixpre 10ii is line level with c70 but the mixpre 6ii is not with c70? Most work I “don’t “ want to record separate audio . Will the mixpre 10ii ta3 outputs to xlr inputs be balanced and will quality be at its best or is it the same as the mixpre 6ii where u mentioned that with 6ii it will lower quality into a c70 preamp ?
