I grew up watching and visiting these remarkable women in Youngdo Island, Busan, where I grew up until tender age of 13. Looking back to my child memories, it was one of the best time I had. I miss seeing them, jump in and out of ocean and seeing and eating their freshly caught sea creatures.
Thank you so much for creating this beautiful film. It is so important to capture these stories and celebrate people who are true stewards of this planet.

As you said, men have accumulated so much wealth and well being but without considering the consequences. Haenyeo are women of exception and excellence. Their wish to forever live in harmony with the mother nature should be praised and celebrated.
