I am glad I found your video. I’ve been looking for an add on to our exterior cleaning services. I have to really think about this considering I’m a one man show.
Awesome! I saw your earlier video introducing the idea of shrinkwrap and I was instantly interested...really thinking of bringing this to the Pittsburgh area in 2021...thanks for the very informative video! I will be watching for any more info you present. Great video man thanks!
hey matt great video i'm thinking a about starting my own business out on the north fork of long island. I'm getting ready to order equipment and supplies. what mil wrap would you suggest I get?
Great video Matt! I'm in St. Louis in the Midwest and I'm definitely wanted to add this this year. Do you have a pricing on those chairs you did in this video? Thanks!
Great detailed video Matt. Thank you. Probably going this route for all the pool & Outdoor furniture this year. I’m in Rockland County, can you post where you got your material in S. I. And what the aprox initial cost was to get setup when you 1st started?
Thank appreciate that. Definitely need a few thousand for startup and essential equipment. As far as material you need a marine supplier or you have to get from Dr Shrink or Mr Shrinkwrap. Either of those options will be more expensive. Material is not cheap and price went up this year as it is.
Thanks for the detailed video. Do you have the clients remove the wrap or do you come back and remove it for them? Great add on service for current clients for sure. Thanks for sharing.
The most detailed how-to shrink wrap vid. Thanks man. Hoping I can get a few clients late this year but it’s going to be an off season add on for my pressure washing business. Working on pricing now. Do you go by foot of material or just guesstimate off the amount of furniture for a quote?
Thanks bro. I charge by the pile. We discount after the first pile if they need multiple. A good starting point is charge like they do the boats. A good rule of thumb is $10 a foot. You can adjust from there. You may have to go higher to cover costs or lower to gain more business. All trial and error in your area.
Hi Matt, thanks for the video. Very informative. Im looking to DIY. I do have one question. I saw you rolled up the outdoor rugs and placed them on the table. Would it be ok to drape the rugs over the top to protect the furniture from puncturing through the wrap? Or would it it be dangerous and catch fire. Also what’s the best place to purchase all necessary material and heat gun for a good cost. I Live in Staten Island close to the Outerbridge. Thanks Frank C.
Hi frank I would just roll them up. Not to many places to get equipment near us. Either Dr shrink or Mr shrink wrap Everything will have to be delivered.
Hi matt I’m trying to judge how much this would cost total ?I know you said 15. Bucks ..but for something like this for your house ? Thanks matt again great video
Hey Matt. For your clients are you leaving the cushions on the furniture? I’m doing my new patio furniture for the first time this year and I’m debating on getting a storage unit just for the cushions. Or should I just pile the cushions up within the furniture and wrap everything? TIA
Hey Matt, do you charge by the sq ft when your doing this? I know cost to shrink wrap say a pontoon in my area is around $10-$15 a sq ft. Any info would be helpful! TIA
Charge per linear foot not sq ft. I’m usually somewhere like $12-15 a foot, closer to $15. Prices of material are so high recently so I might even go higher.
Hey Matt, im in NY and sent an application into mesco. Im having a hard time getting someone to update the status of my application. How long did it take for you to get a dealer account? Thanks
Awesome idea! Just curious, if you're wrapping plastic furniture or patio chairs with melt-able material, is there a risk of melting or shrinking the furniture itself? Have you ever encountered this?
You have to be careful with everything that you do. Any damage prior to wrapping note to self and take pictures. I have never had an issue wrapping even the cheapest of quality furniture.
Morning. All depends on where you are located. I’m on the east coast so there are s as few options for me. Originally I ordered direct from dr. Shrink they are in Michigan. The 2nd year I got a little from mister shrink wrap outside of philly. Now I found a marine supplier near me that I get everything from,
Hi Matt, Good work! I never get to see start to finish shrink wrap, good content. What would you charge for a job like you just did on your house--if on S.I.--just trying to understand pricing? Thx Rich
What is your best advice on advertising this service?? This is not a common thing in my area, so potential customers would need lots of information and some convincing.
Hi where are you located? I would just do Facebook, Instagram etc. throw it out in some Facebook groups and that will get you some jobs & word of mouth.
This is a really cool idea . Im Thinking of doing this in my area in the northeast its been unseasonably warm for this time of year around 40-50 degrees. Whats the lowest temp do you think you can still do this kind of work Matt? Thanks!
Hey Dev yeah I agree but people close everything up regardless. We wrap all the way til almost Christmas. We have like 2 weeks more of work. We have worked in lime 20 degree weather. It sucks but we get it done. Just can’t be rainy or really windy. Where are you in the northeast?
@@mattreno-washituppressurew6834 hey matt thanks for the response im in northeast Pennsylvania. So its been in the 40s-50s now when normally around now its 20s -30s. just thinking if it would be worth it to start now or wait until 2021. appreciate all your vids man!
You have to get things rolling in early September. Send out reminders, edm flyers, order materials that time. Not everything is in stock now. I would wait til next year. Get a plan in place execute the end of the summer.
@@mattreno-washituppressurew6834 thanks for the advice man that would make sense im getting started in pressure washing this year too and your videos have been a great resouce for me. the content and info is real valuable for ones like me trying to get started. 👍🏾
When you have a roll that's 20'x213' how do you manage that roll. It's gotta weight a ton. Do you carry the hole roll to the jobs? Do you Pre cut short 20 x 30 sections?
I would say no. You guys don’t put anything away. Your yards are open all year rounds. Up north we shut everything down in September/October for the winter.
Storage in general. I can see this being a possible upsell for people that don't plan on using their jet skies or boat for certain seasons. Some people have overhangs but not garages, this would be great. Some snowbirds are only down there during the winter.

hey matt great video i'm thinking a about starting my own business out on the north fork of long island. I'm getting ready to order equipment and supplies. what mil wrap would you suggest I get?
7mil wrap. You need to get your ducks in a row in august. Order your equipment, send out postcards etc.
Great video Matt! I'm in St. Louis in the Midwest and I'm definitely wanted to add this this year. Do you have a pricing on those chairs you did in this video? Thanks!
Thank you for this video. Any chance you could let me know where to get the materials and a list of it all?
the chair on the table? that might break table right? we use buckets on our side

How do i do a pergola im on the east coat in westchester county.. i cant seem to get the bottom completely covered always have a gap
Does clear polly shrink wrap also? Or is the white plastic a special type of shrinking plastic?
Thanks for the detailed video. Do you have the clients remove the wrap or do you come back and remove it for them? Great add on service for current clients for sure. Thanks for sharing.
No problem your welcome. Most people don’t want to pay us to remove.
I’m overwhelmed with all different size SW
Material.. what’s the best thickness to use to wrap patio furniture? 6-7mil?
Yes 6-7 mil. I get rolls of 20’ x 220’

Your video shows the wrapping done on a concrete surface. What about if my furniture is on a Trex deck?
You could wrap on a deck just don’t heat the bottom to much stay away from it. You will discolor thectrex

No not cost effective for a normal home owner.

We stack cushions with the furniture. Wrap all together
Hi Matt , I live in Bayshore NY how much you charge for this kind of job
Do you know a good supplier on Long Island? I’ve gotten material from Mr Shrinkwrap and dr shrink. I only do my furniture.

@@mattreno-washituppressurew6834 Thanks Matt!
hey matt, whats the size of the roll of shrink wrap you bought? for example 12ft x 150ft
I get 20’ wide by 213’ length. 6 mil. I find it works the best for furniture. Sometimes you can use 18’ but I would rather have more than less.
Matt I’m curious how much you charge a line foot.Mike
I don’t charge per foot for furniture.

Great video!! How do you determine if a vent(s) are necessary?
Vents are always necessary. Every pile gets 2 vents.
I like your technique for sure. I wrapped starbucks patio furniture and what a PITA.
Are you in canada? or Northeast states?
Thanks appreciate that. I’m in NYC.
Hi Matt, Good work! I never get to see start to finish shrink wrap, good content. What would you charge for a job like you just did on your house--if on S.I.--just trying to understand pricing? Thx Rich
Hey Rich thanks. Somewhere in the ballpark of $200
Padding the sharp corners helps
Never had to pad corners, just don’t stack that way.
How much would a total cost be for the wrap you showed at your house right there?
I charge around $200 for a pile that size.
