    Hi Ahsan, Thank you for the information, it was a great help! Just one question: is tuition fee considered a claimable expense during the study period?

    • @ahsanfinance
      @ahsanfinance Месяц назад

      Depends on your case. Yes in the case of your second degree (master, Phd). In case of first degree (ausbildung , bachelors) there are is a limit of a maximum 6000€/year (total claimable amount)

    Hi Ahsan, thanks for your channel you really bring a LOT of value!
    Question, I did a masters from Oct 2021 to March 2024, I had 2 mini jobs at my university (earning less than 200€-month) and 1 workstudent job the last year of studies (making ~1000€ - month) and in May 2024 I started working full time in my company. For my student years, should I claim year by year? I tried to do it in Wundertax and there is no option to claim all the student time at once. I studied in Baden Württemberg so I had to pay the €1500+ fees a semester.
    Thanks again!!

      Glad you liked the video. Yes you have to file a tax return for every year Individually.
      Here I would recommend following this video for each year (ruclips.net/video/L_xcDh21fG0/видео.html), without submitting the tax return, check if the estimated return is good or not. If its good, then use wundertax.
      If not then follow this (ruclips.net/video/xOoqEi1ItPQ/видео.html) and file for that year for free using Elster. If you are comfortable with Elster then you should use it for all your Tax Filings, but honestly speaking I still haven't gotten used to Elster yet.

    I had a question. Assuming that i bought a gaming laptop worth 1500 and the max allowance was say 1000. Can i at least get refund based on the max (1000) back or nothing at all?

    • @ahsanfinance
      @ahsanfinance Месяц назад

      Considering your assumption, you would at least get a refund based on the maximum. That said , It never hurts to put all the expenses you think are eligible. Sometime even the expenses you don't think would be eligible turn out to be eligible. Everything depends on your case worker

    Hi @Ahsan Finance. You mentioned something about the blocked account money that can be declared. I came to Germany in October 2022 and the blocked account was released every month from October. Is it possible to declare the total blocked account money in the year 2022 something around 10,900 euros as a part of tax return or one should consider monthly amount that comes as income? In case of 2022 it would be three months amount.
    2) Another question is whether blocked account money can be taken under income circumstances apart from salary from a part-time job?
    3) Are the ALDI steuer programs or WISO Steuer easier to file the tax returns rather than in the ELSTER portal?

    • @ahsanfinance
      @ahsanfinance Месяц назад

      For the first question, I think you misunderstood what I meant. The blocked account is your money, there is no tax on that. And it must not be declared on the tax return as its not an "Earned" income.
      2. Blocked amount (if brought from your home country) would not be considered as an income
      3. The level of dificulty depends on your case. The more complicated your case the more difficult it would be. I personally use and recommend wundertax ( I have many tutorials on it on my channel). What you can to is look at it and see how you feel, you only have to pay for the software if you file your tax return using the app. Its free to test and make calculations for your complete tax return.

    • @ssvaksharkumar6900
      @ssvaksharkumar6900 Месяц назад

      @@ahsanfinance Yes I made a test using Wundertax but the tax return is zero for the year 2022. So I am thinking of whether to pay for it and file it.

    • @ahsanfinance
      @ahsanfinance Месяц назад

      Try another software like Smartsteuer or Taxfix , if they also show no return then you can think about not filing (if you are not obliged to)

    Hey Ahsan,
    I have a quick question. I’m working two jobs right now, one part-time and the other as a working student and I’m making sure I stay within the 20 hours per week rule. But my part-time job is under tax class 6. Can I still claim a tax return? Also how many times can I change my tax class in a year? where can I do that?

    • @ahsanfinance
      @ahsanfinance 20 дней назад

      Only the income tax can be claimed and not the social contributions. As far as changing tax classes goes, you can change it multiple times in a year (previously only once a year was allowed)

    Hi Ahsan, I currently have 2 part time jobs. Also the total working hours doesn't exceed the 140 full days criteria. I am a student. How will I be taxed and if my tax class changes to tax class 6, will I be able to reclaim the tax I paid?

    • @ahsanfinance
      @ahsanfinance Месяц назад

      If your yearly earnings were less than the "grundfreibetrag" then you would be able to claim all the income tax in a tax return. However social contributions are not refunded

      It might be because you paid too little tax as you just mentioned you worked above the official limit for students. So its better to pay this small amount soon.
