I second all the comments about exploring those crazy old yards full of all kinds of absolutely amazing Mopar goodness. I'm so jealous, and hearing your expertise in deciphering all the mess is super cool and informative. Your comment about copying Jamie? Who cares? You both have great video personalities, and sharing a few styles considering you work together is just natural. Keep it Up!
That old police car is really cool. That 413 shouldn't be too much for Jamie to handle. But he would end up falling in love with it ! Lol. You would end up having to fight him for it ! Lol
@@rocketrestoget that matador!!!! 60 2dr matadors are super rare there are only 43 registered!!! I almost had one....but it was either the car or a criminal record so .......
That was the last of the “forward look” cars too, basically the same as the 60 models and they really had stuff figured out. They had the “ram” suspension with sway bar, bigger t bars, and the giant strut rods. They really had them figured out by then.
@rocketresto I want to make mine a Fire Chief car. I've seen Galaxy's done this way. I'm a volunteer firefighter, thought it would be cool to show up to a call like in it.
Check the wood blocks under the bed in that Power Wagon. Mine were rotted out and from my understanding, they came from the factory with oak blocks. It'll definitely help with the rattles. That PW looks pretty good, some detailing should spiff it up. They're awesome 4 bys and they will run in any terrain with the grunt of the granny gear. Nice haul.
64 Coronet,440,880, and the dodge 64 polara would be a neat street car cruiser but paint and decaled up to resemble some of the old street stock racecars
Wow, I was really hoping you'd walk all the way around that beige A100 van at about the 31 minute mark. It was one of those really rare ones that also had the side doors on the driver's side. I noticed this while you were pointing your camera in through the passenger door (pause the video at 31:18 and you can clearly see the chrome inside latch handle).
At 21:16 I was all excited. Another '57 D-100. But it's also missing the headlight bezels. Damn stay clear of one year only models. LOL but I silently cry myself to sleep
Understand what you are saying. Most wrecking yards that still exist were eccentric people who owned them who saved this stuff. Always want to see these cars taken care of but they also wouldn’t be here most likely if this guy didn’t save them but also a lot of these are about to head to the crusher.
Have a few 1968 Fury’s, two 440 4 speed cars, a 383 4 speed convertible. Yes they made two door cop cars but they are pretty unusual. Nebraska ran two door cars through the 70’s and I think Kansas?
Oh I ment the wheel covers, I have a set of those that you showed in that yard, I have also seen them on some RR too that were slightly different, always wonder what year they were for. They came with my 68 charger. I also had a set of simulated magnum wheel covers that didn’t come on my charger I sold to a guy who was restoring a 1968 GTS for $100. I’m looking for a set of NOS deluxe deep dish wheel covers for my charger. I have the set that came with my car there not bad.
The cab on that crew cab is worth the trouble of dragging that truck out. As im sure you know the first 3 years of crew cabs were coachbuilt, supposedly by Creative. Pretty rare early dual headlight cab. Obviously it would fit any d-series, or a good base for a resto mod. Unfortunately due to crew cab hype, things like that are going to be all thats left soon.
If they hadn't of hoarded them you wouldn't be looking at them or able to buy them or buy parts from them they would be long gone think about that and just be glad some are still available
Obviously never im betting no cop would want to go to California or Florida and get in and have to grab ahold of a black steering wheel especially if it had a chrome trim ring lol
That is an awesome pickup that Gary purchased and it sounds great too. Thank you very much for the tour also.
It actually beat me home by about three hours, will do a follow up video in it next week probably.
Tom, I love seeing salvage yards. Having learned from last night's live with Jamie, I would like to see you show your travels to find cars.

That was mostly a joke for my brother. Completely agree!
So many neat cars & trucks.
Just want to take them all home
@@rocketresto Mrs T jokes that if I had a 747 hanger it would be jammed full of car & truck projects and parts before too long 😁
@@dantupper1784I rented out one of my shops because I knew if I didn’t I would fill them.

You should definitely get the 880. Although, I might be a little biased based on what's in my driveway.

Man this was an awesome graveyard! Want a super six mani for my truck so bad. LOVE those 700s
Would love to take one home
I bet it would be a hella towing bill to get it on a rig and to home
I like the buckets in the panel van. Aren't those what they used on the LO23 Dart?
Think they used earlier seats? They were a little lighter.

Can be hard to find.
For the life of me I can’t understand people that hoard these old cars and let them sit and rot away.😮
These cars still exist because of people like this who gathered them up years ago , otherwise they would have been junked long ago.

I got a pair of those 68 fury did you say? Hub caps, did they ever make a two door cop car?

I live in Canada and our 1960 Dodges have Plymouth interiors in them and have to oddball poly engines
They did some weird stuff in Canada.
The relatively newer mopar (80s?) in background at the 1:11 time mark looks interesting
Few of them in that place.

@rocketresto go figure, seems like every day a video shows up of a crewcab sweptline being drug out of somewhere.

Come on you know you wanna drag that 4 door tandem axle dodge truck back for Jaime to do something with 😆
Jamie is nodding his head
Don't those cars in that Montana junk yard get buried under 20 feet of snow in the winter?
More like 10

Were white steering wheels specified with CHP police cars?
Yes they were and pretty unique to them although I think Arizona used them too.

Dang l want the 62 Plymouth wagon!
They are all for sale.
Did you get the CHP?? I hope so.
