- Veterans for Peace march to the Cenotaph on Remembrance Day, wearing hoodies bearing the Harry Patch quote, "War is organised murder", and carrying a banner saying "Never Again".
They lay a wreath of mainly white poppies with a few red ones - to remind us that the vast majority of people killed in wars are civilians, and that they - as well as soldiers from all sides of all wars - should be remembered too.
One of the most powerful and beautiful things I have seen, am writing this with tears streaming down my face...I cannot express to all involved my Love and Thanks to you all..You might have been small in number...but when a message is from the Heart and Love...it is so much greater..than any pomp or ceremony...My thanks and acknowledgement to you all..all my Love Cazz (Georges Partner)..xxx
Brought tears to my eyes too. Well done, all of you!
Peace!!!!
Very brave people
Very moving ceremony. I think you have added some clips to it since it's first release (i.e. of music playing and singing among the audience?).
All anti-imperialist and pro-peace people in London, among which one would expect most of the London Left, should support this annual event.
