i just want to say thanks for all the hard work and time let alone the money its costs you to travel up and down the country to keep us entertained on a sunday morning keep it up mate
Love your show Matt. Thanks once again for imparting your knowledge and sharing your experience. Also great advice from Keith on the colour feeding. Cheers mate.
Looking forward to seeing Bernard's set up, i saw some photos of him building some flights, I think he had a sign Goldfinch st. Brilliant episode as usual Matt, I'm nervously waiting for my first redpoll's of the season, keep it up.
Nice looking fifes you have bred, hopefully they do well on the showbench! Also nice to see that you got a few Norwich canaries on the perch. My experience is that the natives do better outside in a spacious cage or a flight. And be careful with too much proteins in the form of live or frozen food, this will make the cocks too restless and tear nests apart and bully the hens. Looking forward to the next episodes on the road!
Great video again well done guys. If you don't mind me asking who made the cages an could you forward me the marker please a like the big double nice an deep cages atb Gav
Earlier today I doscovered first time parents with 5 dead chicks. Chicks were a week old and doing very well. Fed well and protected. Appeared flat and one even had an opening near the belly. Totally bummed out!
Thanks Brian, glad you enjoy them. With the Norwich canary and some of the new colours they’re given colour food to enhance their natural colour for exhibition purposes
Hey, I am all the way from Bangladesh 🇧🇩. I am 13 years old, I love your videos. I will start breeding Bengali/Society finches for some pocket money. I want to give them soak seeds to them 2-4 times a week. Is that enough and is this seed mix ok for finches? Also what seeds did you put in the soak seed mix and how much? Is there anything else I can or should add to it to make it better? Please reply.
Can a male fife simply be too eager to show off, but not take the time to mate. He is so aggressive that hens are afraid of him. Not aggressive mating, but instead singing and showing how much of a stud he is.

They’ll need a millet based mixed all week, soaked seed should be offered to bring them in to breeding condition and when there’s young in the nest
