"I Think I'd Like To Stay" is the debut short film if costume designer-turned-writer/director Brianna B Murphy. The short had its world premiere as part of the 50th Seattle International Film Festival in the Sound Voices program.
Synopsis: On the last night of a trip to her childhood home, a young woman is swallowed by the land.
Brianna was also the costume designer for the Sundance hit film "Dìdi (弟弟)" directed by Sean Wang, which screened as part of the closing weekend at SIFF.
In this conversation, Thomas Stoneham-Judge talks with Brianna about her perspective on being a first time filmmaker and how it compares to her work in costume design. They also discuss how collaborating with her team helped make this film as detailed as it is and Brianna talks about her experience working with Sean on "Dìdi (弟弟)".
