Hey, just started tarot about 2 weeks ago, I tried to pick it up as a teen but I couldn’t grasp the concept, but now that I’m a little older(25) I feel like everything is making sense. And it’s so interesting , I have fallen completely down the rabbit hole, and I’m loving every second, I’m diving deep and putting in the research into various card meanings and the history of tarot to get a deeper meaning and understanding of the practice. I feel like I’ve been called by the universe to do this. My question for you, Sir, is, how do I know when I’m ready to put myself out there to start doing readings? I’m so eager to start but I don’t want to tarnish my name before I even get started? P.S. thank you for sharing your knowledge of the cards. I’ve learned more about tarot from your videos than I have every other tarot youtuber combined.

Unfortunately, I live in a rural bible belt area of the south. Do you think being older gives you an advantage? Do you charge the same fees at a coffee shop as you normally charge? Also, do you ever get people telling you tarot is evil and you're going to hell? LOL Seriously this is a concern of mine and I would appreciate your take on how to handle that if you have time to respond. Love these videos you're doing!
Thanks purr. I leave the price kinda open at the coffee houses but usually when there I offer a ten minute reading and the price is $20. I haven't had anyone tell me Im going to hell for reading or that it is evil. Chicago is pretty open to it all. Hope that helps and thanks for subscribing. In my experience and what I've seen on Facebook, people seem to be more willing to attack (you're evil), or "rescue" (you're being deceived) and even ridicule ("this is all a hoax, you are a fraud or a fool") female readers (and crystal workers, pagans, etc) than men. This isn't very helpful since you can't help whether you are a man or a woman, but it seems like people are more willing to get confrontational and lecture women than they are men. I guess in a way it could help in that a woman may have faced it more and have more suggestions on how to deal with it.
I was raised Roman Catholic and am pretty well versed in that misunderstood book. If im confronted by religious types i always use the parables of Jesus if drawn into an augment with Christians, that usally cools the bible thumpers down, after all they just want you to be saved and i honestly have never had a problem with Christians they really are good people. With Islamists its the same the Koran is a quick read and all the Christian achetypes are in there. But if they keep going just be nice as belief is a very powerful force that has literally started wars so i never try to explain myself to an extremist they can be dangerous, i just pull the strength card and treat them with the same patience, respect and compassion ALL souls need in this crazy world.
I love your videos. Wish I had met you when I lived in Chicago. I just moved from there a few months ago. I wonder if you read at any of the spiritual shops there?
Hello from Chicago! Yes, I read at a lot of the shops in Chicago area. Any of these names ring a bell? Sanctuary Crystals, Inner Eye, Unseen Insights, The Quest Book Store, Carols Crystal Castle, all I can think of right now. All gone now except The Quest Book Store out in Wheaton. @@VPitisci I don't know any of those. All I know is Alchemy Arts, the Occult Bookstore, and a shop in Lincoln square. I know that many of the practioners started out in a now closed shop near Lincoln and Sheffield. I've been in and out of the city over the years but have a feeling you might have crossed paths with some people I know.
Yes, Alchemy Arts and The Occult Bookstore are still alive and doing well. I never read at either of them but have heard good things about both stores. The Occult Book Store has been around forever and I was just there last month for the first time in probably 20 years! A good place for older classic books on the occult. Best - Vincent
