You have to wait for the dry down on the kayali vanilla royale! The opening is not good but very soon it dries down to a beautiful slightly oudy vanilla 🥰
I personally do not smell any sourness but it could be due to the rum note. It will dissipate very quickly. The drydown is perfection very gourmand and rich. I need a backup bottle.
the opening of Vanilla Royale is weird, strong Rum patchouli and oud, but after 5 to 10mn you get the vanilla and the fragrance changes throughout the time. 30 mn later you get a beautiful boozy vanilla with a nice sillage 🥰 I was afraid of the oud and patchouli but here it is soft and sugary. I get so many compliments when I wear it. so yes Mona succeeded making an intense deep boozy vanilla ! You shoud give it another chance : the most beautiful perfumes are not always those with the most amazing opening it all depends on the quality of the raw material for a nice drydown. The perfume industry now is focussed on « love at first spray » to trigger the sales. And many times you buy it and the drydown is disappointing. Not the case with Vanilla Royale
Try layering the vanilla royale with the burning cherry. It's amazing. Would have liked you to give vanilla royale a chance to dry down and then give your opinion. I tried venom but my chemistry and chocolate don't mix well and all i seemed to smell was chocolate.
I had the same reaction as you to Kayali Vanilla Royale. I will say it’s better when layered with Vanilla 28 (tones down the sourness) and the dry down is MUCH better than the top. HOWEVER, it was NOT for me either and I sold my travel spray.
I agree with others about the Sol De Janeiro body mist review! The only one I own is the 62 pistachio & salted caramel but it is SO good. My husband gets ravenous when I wear it 😅
I am not familiar with Kaali but will have to check it out. Meanwhile, I can rely on my bottle of Venom of Love and Raised Spirits will keep me smelling good!
Just got venom of love it smelled like something I'd already smelled before I got out my italica and carmel overdose there's a lot of similarities love all them
Loved this video! 🥰 The dry down of vanilla royale is stunning! You gotta try it again bc I didn't like it at first either but I found my bottle needed to sit for several weeks and now it's one of my favorite sexy vanillas ever, especially after it dries after a few minutes. But understand it's not for everyone. I disagree that Burning Cherry smells like VOL. I mentioned in my review that the cherry note may be similar but BC is more of a woody cherry/raspberry and VOL is a boozy chocolate cherry to my nose. I love them both but VOL is AMAZING 🙌 It pairs perfectly with Chocolate Queen too! 😊
I have heard complaints about Lovefest in terms of sillage but tbh it projects quite well on me and I always get compliments. Maybe not long-lasting but it doesn't bother me as I like changing scents over the course of a day. But... I have to say, I did not fall in love with it as I wore it...
71 Cheirosa I spray on my plaid, and wrap myself up in it. Scent transfers even to my clothes sometimes. Aso i have 10 ml of burning cherry: on the nozzle it was amazing, but it changes into a whole other scent and then leaves a trail of cheap bodyspray on me. Too bad. That marzipan cherry at the start was also making me salivate.
The gallager website is having a sale,I just purchased some that I wanted.well worth to check out!run don't walk.❤️ I have baklava and I don't get floral on my skin.wicked good is worth it!❤️
Great video. And I appreciate your honesty and your views on these fragrances and agree with some of your views and disagree with others, as you would expect. But I am just wondering where that idea comes from that Gallagher frags are crazy expensive. I own 7 fragrances from them and 3 Pearlescent Parfums (incl Baklava which I love) and have gotten them all at great sale prices directly on their US website (I think they are in Texas, but obviously Gallagher is an Irish name). 115 dollars for a fragrance is 95 pounds and relatively affordable (for me in the UK) and there are so many fragrances in Paulina‘s collection that are completely out of reach for me, that I would call too highly priced for my budget. I just had a look and I paid 95 dollars for Behold, Patchouli and 89 dollars for Amongst Waves just a few months ago, for instance. The Gallagher shipping has been free from the US (might have been an offer at the time) and I have luckily never had to pay customs. So not bad at all for the price. I think Gallagher have maybe also raised their prices recently when so many houses raised theirs due to supply chain issues. That might explain it. Wicked Good is the most expensive of their frags, I think, but the others are sold at a lower price. But still, the perception that they are super highly priced seems strange to me. Kayali, a designer brand, costs me around 70 pounds for a 50ml in the UK so 95 pounds for a renowned niche brand for 50ml is not that bad. NO? Maybe we are/I am so used to extortionate prices here in the UK we/I don‘t even realise it anymore when something is overpriced?
Vanilla Royale is many things but definitely not sour! Lol you have smelled too much at once. Burning Cherry is long lasting, don't judge anything based on paper test please...
@@PaulinaPerfumes Respectfully, I love your channel but your attitude is apparently sour towards Kayali. You can’t even consider the fact that it could be a bad bottle from improper storage. It’s a beautiful fragrance. I don’t enjoy seeing this side of you.
@@deeebutterfly2025 Totally agree, such a mean girl vibe during the Kayali part...not cute (it's not about what she said but HOW she said it). Hi Paulina, I have been looking recently your videos. What do you think about Pani Walewska Ruby? It is from Polland! Looking forward for your answer 😃
I would love your responses on bbw pumpkin pecan waffles and Christmas cookies the way u described that gourmand. I would love to know what u think. We love your personality it is fun.
I have the 71 and 62 by Sol De Janeiro. The 71 by far is more delicious in my opinion. I’ve been wanting to try Mirage for sometime now and will now! Thank you. Love Venom of Love. My favorite cherry in my collection. ❤❤ could you recommend your favorite Orange and Chocolate gourmand fragrance? I May purchase Dark Indulgence but not sure yet! Thanks
I returned Kayali Royal Vanilla. On my skin and on paper it smelled like extremely dirty patchouli. Like thick dusty dirt and patchouli. It felt like it stuck in my nose. Like I got trapped in a dust cloud and the dirt stuck in my nose. I tried to like it but it was bad. Back to the store it went.
@@nori9454 Yeah, it’s definitely a hard to like patchouli. 🤔 Very strange and quite potent with the thick dusty dirt smell. I’m not sure I’ve ever come across a patchouli like that before…. But I guess I’m still glad I got to smell it. If anything it was an experience. 😂
There’s nothing sour about Vanilla Royale. Either you have a bad bottle or you’re being overly dramatic because you were removed from PR. If so, why even review it if you can’t be neutral and unbiased? I’ve never seen this side of you. Hmmm
🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ I think you are overly dramatic about my fragrance experience coz on me THAT JUICE IS SOUR 😂😂 if I was bitter about the PR lists(which I dont even know if I was removed or not coz they don’t send their stuff to people each time they release) I would not joke about it in the open, come on have some logic to it 🤦🏽♀️ and I trash scents that are scent to me by brands too, if I dont like something 🤷🏽♀️
I think kayali fragrances are so little girl smelling overall and some of them are rank/horrid, on top of that the lasting power is a joke lol. For some reason though I couldn't help myself and I blind bought vanilla royale and fell on love when I took the cap off, it was that good to me. I wear it at least once a week and even though so far it's not a compliment getter for me I really don't care. Once my bottle gets low I'll buy another fb. The lasting power is insanely good, close to niche level.
I 1st got a dabber sample of Vanilla Royale, and loved it on my skin. BUT on the 1st spray from the full bottle it was a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT story… there was something that was just screeching (like pine-sol cleaner) up my nose. It was awful, and it stayed there for over an hour. I had decided to return it. BUT I saw a comment in a review that recommended to layer it with a BBW. Low and behold it turned back into the beautiful scent I got out of the dabber. I don’t think we should have to layer a new fragrance just to find it wearable. But the combo was soooo good, and considering the price was pretty reasonable. I had to keep it. The only other Kayali I got is LBC because it’s light enough for an everyday scent and office safe LOL. Sol De Janeiro 71 is my fav as well. I layer that with many of my vanilla frags and it’s always ♥️♥️♥️
Isn’t Gallagher a U.S brand? I have wicked good and paid like $130 with a coupon code a few months ago. (Just checked and it’s on sale for $145 right now)
What are your thoughts on sunny side up, after a few hours of wear? Was it still nice? I am considering purchasing, because it's very similar to a niche fragrance that I absolutely love called Milky Musk and it costs a fraction of the price, but I don't know 😬 And I've tried sunny side up on my skin, but somehow I still keep milky musk on my mind...
I have amazing lasting power on it. It has a hefty dose of ISO E Super so alot of people don't smell it unfortunately. For me it lasts days on my hair and clothes. Absolutely love it and would suggest getting to see if you're anosmic to it or not.
Baklava is originally from Turkey, Greece, and the Middle East, but it was brought to Hungary by Turkish invaders during the 16th century. Hungary revised it and made it part of their culture as the strudel.
Just sayin' ppl might wanna try Wicked Good out on their skin b4 purchasing this one. Lol after about an hour on my skin it took a Wicked turn 🤣 literally transformed into Ham & Coconut 🐷 🥥 forreal, It was so tragic 😥 💔
Oh noooo. Sour?? Girl, I think it’s about skin chemistry and what our noses pick up. I got a smooth leather, Smokey sugared type of smell. My parents love baklava. We are Syrian and the middle eastern desserts are the best.
