They can't improve camera quality because it would be harder for them to fake the footage. This is every major space agency man they fake all this stuff.
I want to know the reason behind not being able to get a GoPro camera for such important missions. Is the video feed technology that slow to send back the data? If it's slow you could have two downlink running at the same time one to send a low Res and another an HD one - so as to get the low Res imagery immediately when a disaster happens. The HD feed can take its time and send back later, slowly.
Hello, i have a question. At 1:18 why are they "falling" toward clouds/ the earth? If the parent ship is in orbit, why wouldn't whatever it releases just stay with the parent ship? Also, all those covers that came off the rocket just float around up in space as junk?
It's all about how you use the budget. Don't you think an organisation which can develop Earth observation satellites that can focus upto 25 cm on ground can't invest in GoPros? They won't. Even if they have the money, they won't, as its not entirely necessary for the mission. Hence the old cameras and old computer graphics. ISRO is renowned for being thrifty, not fancy.

Space missions dont really need camera feedback for successful operation. Those views are mostly for public entertainment and minimal hardware condition check. So spending the money on HD camera means less money for the science stuff. Unlike SpaceX who is a private company it has HD camera views to attract it's customers as it looks good on screen, ISRO doesn't need such as its a govt funded organisation.
