Yamaha Tracer 9 GT - Dominator HP8 EX (vs. Stock)

So I got the Dominator Exhaust System HP8 with mid-muffler installed and I couldn’t be happier!
If you want the most amount of decibel from the bike for hooning around and offending people - get it without the mid-muffler..
If you want over 100db, a REALLY loud bike, on pair with the Akrapovic-system, get the one with the mid-muffler.. This is really on the bleeding edge of how loud I want it to be to still be bearable.. It sounds GOOD.. Not to much, not to little.. Just enough 👌 The iPhone doesn’t do it justice when it comes to volume.. It’s day and night compared to stock.. And sorry about the traffic.. Couldn’t do much about it.. Try to enjoy 🤝

It’s just my personal opinion - but the EX-version is loud enough, a tad under obnoxiously loud.. My friend rides the non-EX version on his MT-09 and that is just stupid loud.. To a point where it is just annoying to the rider and people around.. If you want to be offensive, go with the non-EX version 😅 This was filmed with an iPhone 13 Pro and the microphone definitely lowers the peak volume.

Hello, what do you recommend getting for the Tracer 9. I Was Thinking about HP8 or Gp3, but I fear that Gp3 will be too loud, what is your recommendation?
Also when you say "mid muffler" you mean the Catalitic convert? So it's omologated as far as pollution goes? Thank you so much if you answer🙏🏼

The HP8 EX doesn’t have a Cat.. It’s just a mid-pipe between the headers and muffler with an additional muffler where’s the HP8 is a straight pipe between the headers and muffler.
The HP8 EX is loud enough and nope, none of the Dominator systems have a cat.. The HP8 is obnoxiously loud and the GP3 would be plain stupid..

Did u have any issues with the fitting? Only reason I’m asking is I had one! The problem is sorted now though but going to be making a short video about it shortly so was just wondering if others had any issues?

I presume you mean the headers? They were color marked so they go in the mid pipe in the right order.. took me a couple of minutes to realize. Other than that, fitment was 10/10
