Ya Zu Shuniya Weer Kukknor

This is one of the Wakhi folk songs written and composed by the legendary Wakhi poet and singer Mr. Peer Ali (Late). Peer Ali was a renowned wakhi poet and singer from Chipursan valley upped Hunza Gilgit-Baltistan. He was among the few artists who used to be officially invited by then Mir of Hunza Mir Jamal Khan to perform and sing in the Darbars, the official gatherings.
Ustaad Peer Ali has many beautiful songs to his credit but unfortunately due to lake of proper recording facilities, many of his songs and poetries remained undocumented.
This particular song was documented by Mr Ali Qurban Mughanni during his research work. The last three stanza of this song has been written by Mr Ali Qurban. The song has been re-arranged and produced by DWBaig
The song is part of the series Mergech Safar-the Journey , a step to document and promote the Wakhi folk classics

Ghafch khũshruyet yem bayd e k̃hẽnek, Big. Ofarin! Ti tater ofarin! It was a coincidence I came across this touching poetry, indeed. The vocal and music are also so fantastic, ratehr an exceptional I'd say, as compared to your earlier music. The marvellous, late Pir Ali was something beyond one's imagination. I've recorded a bit of teh songs (particuarly devotationl) that I'd be publshing on my Channel (Eagles World). He had forgotton a lot of the songs, including the romantic ones, when I'd visited him in 2007, 2008 and later. The main reason was so he had lost one of his young sons in September 1991 at Pomiri pastureland of Chipursan Valley as along with other people, he was hit by the snow-avalanche at night. He was so much disheartened and since then stopped to be on the limeline of the artistic expression and radar. A short interview I've taken of him in 2008 was luckily retrieved and will sooner publish. Well done, once again, Baig and thanks for building onto the foundation of late Pir Ali's tradition.
