Love the videos!!
I’ve binged a whole series in one night - Smashing it!! 🤩🤩
Thank you so much 🙌🏻
Love your content guys! Nice to find a couple renovating their home in the UK too, as most other people I follow are American homesteaders. Nice to see how things get done on home soil! 😊
Aw we appreciate that, thanks for watching!
Me too! Majority of renovation series I follow are American, so it’s a breath of fresh air to see it being done closer to home! 🏡
I have a little fangirl moment when creators reply to me!! 😁 lol. ❤❤
You guys have no idea how excited I was when I saw you uploaded this!
Ha... cat prints.
Those tiles looks really sweet!! Proper class. Nice work guys.
It always amazes me how good of a handyman James is. I can’t even put together IKEA furnitures to save my life while my man is straight up renovating an entire house
Cheers mate, always look forward to your videos!
Haha thanks mate!! I just make it all up as I go along, never worked in the trades before and never renovated a house before! Basically I’m just winging it lol!
The tile's a perfect fit. I love the color and look of it. It has a natural essence to it. Very beautiful. Plus, the blooper at the end 😅😂🤣. Gotta love Hollie's infectious laugh. Awesome video.
Thank you very much, we are really pleased with them too!! And yes I had to add in the bloopers at the end, I think most people would have missed them!!
I totally agree with the way you chose the color for the tiles. I love the look of dark floors, but the are impossible to keep clean! Especially when you own pets! I love my lighter colored tile floor!
That’s great to know we made the right choice! We love it!
That tile looks fantastic!!!!
I am very much a visual learner, and I suck at picturing things until they are actually in place....but that accent wall and tile is lovely together 👌👍
Aw thank you very much! Yeah it’s exactly what we imagined and it so nice to actually see it come together now! Hard work is slowly paying off!
Yes!! So glad to see this!!
You both did an amazing job that is absolutely gorgeous don't stop there my goodness I can't wait to see the mud room when you're done God bless I hope you enjoy the grill it's an awesome way to cook an emergencies and having parties in meeting new friends God bless peace be with you much love and respect
How much does electric under floor cost to run vs a regular gas boiler powered radiator?
looks so good!!!
Was just lookn into underfloor heating cheers
Spotted that ubiquiti nanostation box straight away! Do you have 2 units setup? not sure if you're taking the 'net down the garden
Looking good!
Enjoyed your video! Can I ask what impact (if any) the electric underfloor heating has had on your bills since installing?
Great, what was the choice between the laminate and the tiles?
Phew so glad you used the self leveling compound on the whole floor. Can't even imagine tiling it with that bump it the middle.
Anyway you guys did great job, it looks amazing!
Yeah so pleased we did too! Can’t imagine how much of a faf it would have been and how much adhesive we would have used if we hadn’t! We are so pleased with the finished result 👌🏻
Could I please ask what you laid over the sub floor under the UFH?
Looks awesome
hi
did you lay the heating system on concrete or did you add insulation boards first
great video
You should of explained what happened to the sensor wire and where it goes on the install
You two are the cutest❤️
What's funny is I literally was gonna look about installing electric under floor heating, timing
Haha good timing! It is super easy to do, as long as you have power in the wall where the thermostat will be going.
Is that an infra red heater in there... 👀👀👀
What colour is the wall?
Looking good 👍👍👍
Holly was that you saying this C#@T instead of colour 😂😂😂😂 looks amazing guys doing a great job
James Barbercue 🙃
What do you call my family stood in a line? A barberque!!
Well done you guys . How are you finding underfloor heating ? We have decided to go for this
Are you using the electric underfloor heating as your primary heating source? If so how do you find it?
Is there a reason for only putting the heating system only in the middle of the room?
There is yeah, I’m pretty sure we talked about that in the previous video where we said about it not going under cabinets in the kitchen. And that’s the same in the lounge, we didn’t want it under the sofas or furniture as that can cause ‘hot spots’ and be dangerous. Also... we didn’t order a big enough heating mat, we had 12m2 and we should have had 13/14m2 so we could have gone to the edges of the room a bit more than we did!!! But it should still be warm enough as it’s 150w pm2 which is 1250w of heat. And we also have the IR panel on the ceiling (which we haven’t spoke about in a video yet...) but that is also 1100w. So should be nice and toasty!
@@BARBSTER360 Ah yes, you did mention it, I remember now. Looks really good, I'm sure it'll be really toasty when needed. I walk around our house usually barefoot, heated kitchen would be nice.
We've got re-grout our kitchen, not looking forward to doing that. Ha!!
@@toyesteve just realised I did the calculation wrong, the mat is acutely 1800w so should be more than enough heat!
Yeah re grouting doesn’t sound fun!!
Great stuff guys. Hope it’s the floor is keeping you warm still. May i ask what was the thickness of tiles used?
Thank you! We used 9mm tiles 👌🏻
@@BARBSTER360 Nice. They look so neat. Would you say the underfloor heating would be just as effective on 12mm porcelain?
Good video
What is the cost of electricity per kw/month? Thanks
Nice.
When your done, can I buy the place?
Haha as long as we can enjoy it ourselves for a little while first!!!
You never tested the heating element before installing!
Terrible!
This guy has not got a clue. There is no such thing as a self levelling compound. Any skim as to have a primer to make sure it sticks to the concrete. This floor is doomed to fail. It is clear he as not got a clue otherwise he would not of only had 4 bags of skim.
1 year on and floor is doing great 👌🏻
