The age was changed by Michael Manley to 18 years in 1976, so you could vote as an adult. I spent sometimes in England and all the excitement, that I heard some Jamaican is going on England. It is not like that how you hear some people is talking, my father went there in 1957 then migrated to the United States New York City in 1970 because of the violence in England. Also the economy in England is not that really good, although they are boasting one of the world's strongest currency. The cost of living in England is very high, the wages is very low too, and a lot of people there is depending on the government for help.
