Doesn’t mean the phone won’t work or it’s unusable. It just means when you charge it to “100” percent, it’s actually going to be at 79 percent . If that makes sense .

73% for the one I bought on September 2018 (XS), gave it to my girlfriend a year ago when I bought the 13th.
She can’t really use it a whole day now and it crashes sometimes… think I’m going to repair it on my own with a 40€ kit
can’t do that. battery needs to be swapped by Apple otherwise you will get annoying notification and lose battery health data

why do you think charging phone overnight is good for iPhone battery health, Apple recommends don't charge your phone over night.
Once you charge your phone overnight it will learn your routine
After a few days it uses ‘optimised battery charging’
This feature charges your phone to 80% when you plug it, it waits for a while and based on your routine it charges it to 100%
After it’s 100% it reduces the wattage (depending on the wattage of the charger brick you use) and keeps it at 100%
The phone doesn’t heat at all because it is managed by the iPhone
This is a good practice to follow
You can use a wireless charger, MagSafe charger or a regular Apple Original charger

I would recommend against an iPhone XS as it’s quite old. I would say go for an iPhone 11 or newer.

I would advise you don’t get it, but if you have a tight budget then go for this phone and get the battery replaced by apple. If you replace it by apple, it should last 1.5 years

When a battery is replaced from apple, the battery health doesn’t calculate properly, however it should perform the same way. Make sure to charge the phone overnight (full night)
