One thing to note that was a huge determining factor for me, was not only the screen real estate for split screening on the 12.9", but also the fact that you get the full versions of the apps while split screening on the 12.9". The smaller iPads don't do this. Thought it might be worth mentioning. :)
@@Learn.medicine You get the “dumbed down” version of apps while split screening on a smaller iPad. For example, your tool bar might go away while in split screen on the 11” iPad in a certain app, but while split screening on a 12.9” iPad you would still have the toolbar function while in split screen. It can make a big difference with certain apps and your usage of those apps.
Need help! The ipad pro 128gb (11inch, 2020) & Ipad Air 256gb (2020) are pretty much both the same price (black friday). Which one should I get? Want a device that lasts the longest! I’m a student, I multitask (zoom & note taking, lots of tabs), may also want to video edit (but not that big of a component). Essentially, just want something of really good value/durability!! I want something that will last me the longest!
I might be pretty late but the storage is also a difference, if I’m not mistaken. I’m rooting for an iPad air, but I’m worried if the maximum storage of 256gb will be enough for note taking and documents.
I have the same iPad Pro and it works wonders. It’s totally worth as an investment as a student because it feels like a laptop and it’s more compact and light.
i’m planning on using an ipad for - take pictures for scanning documents and turning in work - will mostly be using at home - playing games such as among as and animal crossing - watching lots of yt videos and netflix - multitasking/split screen - listen to spotify while browsing internet - having lots of bookmarks on chrome - drawing occasionally (possibly start taking commissions) - taking notes for school (diagrams, editing pdfs mostly on good notes) - reading books on kindle - writing essays, editing google slides - creating short videos ( less than 5 minutes in imovie) which ipad should i get? UPDATE: i got the ipad pro 11 inch, thanks for the comments :)
I can, and have, done everything you listed above (except for making videos) on my iPad 8. I got mine in 128gb to store all my documents and it’s much cheaper than the iPad Pro. Split screen isn’t the best since the 8 has a 10.2 in screen and is fairly small compared to the other higher end iPads. My iPad was $429 and if the larger screen is worth the increase in cost, then that’s your priority. I suggest thinking about the new air though since it’s 10.9 in and is similar in size to the 11 in pro but is significantly cheaper. I also heard the 2018 pro model is fairly good too.
I'd recommend the Ipad Air 4. I was also in the situation to pick between the ipad pro 11 inch and ipad air 4 because money wasn't an issue for me and I didn't want the 12.9 inch. And I ended up deciding on the ipad air 4 sky blue and I'm sooo happy I did. I don't need the extra camera or flash because I know I wouldn't be using it and 60hz compared to the pros 120hz wasn't a prob for me because the ipad air 4 is actually really fast and you wouldn't really notice the difference. I'd say go to the store and play around with both of them and you can make up your mind. 🌸 hope this helps.
Ipad air 4 It has a good enough processor the A14 which is great! So close to the ipad pro 11 screen just some thicker bezels. Good for split screen and gaming is handled greatly. Not as good graphics as the ipad pro and also less refresh rate. Still good and supports apple pencil 2. Laminated screen. Camera is great 😌 And my overall experience with it was awesome 👏🏼
Based on my experience, the quality of iPad Pro 10.9 inch is worth buying. I say this not only because of battery, but also because of sound quality, cameras (especially if you are a college student which wants or needs to record class for a review). They both may not make too much of a difference though, but it does depend on what the cost is and where you buy it from since some stores can sell them at a less expensive price. Both are great to use for school.
I wasn’t sure which one to get! But in the end I got the 12.9 pro because of the bigger screen. I’ve used it for like a month now and I absolutely love it and I‘m so happy with m decision!
Hi! I’m a vet student too:) is it good as a laptop replacement for simple tasks like: research, writing papers, making powerpoints, zoom calls? And how long does the batter really lasts?
@@davienierivas6692 i don’t use my laptop any more, the ipad it’s great but i recommend you to buy a mouse and a keyboard to write your papers because it’s easier, and it’s really good for ur zoom calls and i use my ipad all day and don’t have problems with the battery

I have a MacBook Air M1 that I use for most of my productivity tasks and work stuff, but I really want an iPad Air for content consumption, some drawing, reading, taking notes, surfing the web, media streaming and playing some games. Nothing too heavy duty. Is 64gb enough? I can’t really afford the 256. I also have lots of cloud storage.
Having a hard time deciding between Air 4 and Pro M1 :/ Internal storage is another problem too... 64GB feels too little and 256GB feels like overkill, but Air only gives these 2 options whereas Pro has 128GB (which feels just right). Any advice? :(
@@shakirah4173 What really set a difference for me was thinking this way: for this new iPad, are you looking for something that’s more like your phone or more like your laptop? If the answer is phone, save that extra bucks and choose Air (256GB), too much storage won’t hurt. If it’s laptop, then choose Pro because you’ll need the extra niche features they offer and 128GB will be perfect. Some say it’s stupid to save the extra bucks because it’s a small price difference between Air and Pro (a couple more bucks for more features, faster processing etc) but honestly? I don’t need those features. That’s why I chose more storage over more features. Hope this helps!
Hey just wanted to know how much of your storage you have used so far? I plan on only taking notes. And im not sure if the air 64 GB is enough? I wanted to know if for the long run I should invest in more? I am pre med and would like for this to last into my med school years.
@@katherinetinco4105 Hey there! So far I’ve used up about 30GB out of 256GB, and I’m a business student so I presume you’ll have more notes than I do since you’re a med student. I’d say go for the 128GB Pro or 256GB Air, depending on your preference! Hope this helps :)

One thing to note that was a huge determining factor for me, was not only the screen real estate for split screening on the 12.9", but also the fact that you get the full versions of the apps while split screening on the 12.9". The smaller iPads don't do this. Thought it might be worth mentioning. :)
wait what??????
@@Learn.medicine You get the “dumbed down” version of apps while split screening on a smaller iPad. For example, your tool bar might go away while in split screen on the 11” iPad in a certain app, but while split screening on a 12.9” iPad you would still have the toolbar function while in split screen. It can make a big difference with certain apps and your usage of those apps.
Hello :) which is better for a student who plans to use the ipad for years? Ipad Air4 256GB or Ipad Pro 11" 128 GB?
I'd say the pro one ^^
Janice! if you ever decide to do a giveaway, you can send me one! I’ll take whichever 😭

Which did you get?
can u answer me please cause i have a similar situation with you and i want to know wich one you get and is it worth it
When it came to exporting the textbook to goodnotes, the iPad Pro as actually faster by just 1 second.
I might be pretty late but the storage is also a difference, if I’m not mistaken. I’m rooting for an iPad air, but I’m worried if the maximum storage of 256gb will be enough for note taking and documents.
So this video clearly says that ipad air is also good enough for school students
I have the same iPad Pro and it works wonders. It’s totally worth as an investment as a student because it feels like a laptop and it’s more compact and light.
i’m planning on using an ipad for
- take pictures for scanning documents and turning in work
- will mostly be using at home
- playing games such as among as and animal crossing
- watching lots of yt videos and netflix
- multitasking/split screen
- listen to spotify while browsing internet
- having lots of bookmarks on chrome
- drawing occasionally (possibly start taking commissions)
- taking notes for school (diagrams, editing pdfs mostly on good notes)
- reading books on kindle
- writing essays, editing google slides
- creating short videos ( less than 5 minutes in imovie)
which ipad should i get?
UPDATE: i got the ipad pro 11 inch, thanks for the comments :)
@Maram Bonny I’d be getting the iPad Pro 11 inch though bc the 12 is too much money
Well if you’re going to play games and split screen then ofc the ipad pro.
Ipad air 4
It has a good enough processor the A14 which is great! So close to the ipad pro 11 screen just some thicker bezels. Good for split screen and gaming is handled greatly. Not as good graphics as the ipad pro and also less refresh rate.
Still good and supports apple pencil 2.
Laminated screen.
Camera is great 😌
And my overall experience with it was awesome 👏🏼
Me chilling here actually watching this with the iPad Air 4

My favorite iPad Air colour is green colour because it is look like natural.
I LOVE the sky blue colour I'm getting my ipad air in December I can't wait!!❤️😭 Thank you for the amazing video!❤️
I think writing experience is significantly better on iPad ... the screen is more solid somehow 🤷🏻♀️
when you’re early for once and trying to think of something good to comment...
Once again SORRY I was late because I was sleepping it was night 10.59 pm in India I was sleepping SORRY.
My heart: iPad Pro
My mind: Air 4 for the colors
My wallet: iPad 7th gen
if you are a student in USA you can get the iPad Pro 11 in A12Z through your school if they are partnered with barnes and noble for 561 bucks

Me watching this video on the iPad Air 4 😎
I wasn’t sure which one to get! But in the end I got the 12.9 pro because of the bigger screen. I’ve used it for like a month now and I absolutely love it and I‘m so happy with m decision!
My iPad Air in the blue color is great and i really love it, i have it since the past Monday an as a Vet student is great
What storage space did you end up buying? And how much have you used up so far? I’m premed and want to buy one that will last me into med school but afraid the 64GB is too low.
@@katherinetinco4105 hey, I have mine for about 2 weeks now. I transferred all the files of my last 2 semesters from my other iPad and I have 21 apps. In total it takes up 31GB, I also have around 800 fotos on it. I have the 256gb btw.
@@katherinetinco4105 hi! I got the 64gb and it’s great for me, I’m a vet student, I have used like 45gb but almost all of it are games that I like to play, so if u are gonna use it for note taking its enough, I like to use one drive and iCloud to save somethings
Hi Janice! My fav iPad air 4 colour would be rose gold or space grey. Team space grey!!!
I dont have a ipad, iphone or macbook 🙂 just android user.. but watch janice vids about ip make me feel happy ☺
I got the Air 4 and the size is perfect for me. The pro would be definitely too big. An with student discout it cost 600€ (in Germany) which is fine!
Been waiting for this video!! Thank u soo much! Keep doing what you’re doing 💗
Having a hard time deciding between Air 4 and Pro M1 :/
Internal storage is another problem too... 64GB feels too little and 256GB feels like overkill, but Air only gives these 2 options whereas Pro has 128GB (which feels just right). Any advice? :(
Update in case anyone is wondering and lurking: I chose the iPad Air (256GB)! No regrets so far. :)
@@smeraldoremi omg im going through the same dilemma rn, what made you decide on the air?
My honest opinion is that 64GB might be a tight fit for you unless you don’t mind spending money on iCloud storage subscriptions. I’d say go for the 128GB Pro or 256GB Air, depending on your preference! Hope this helps :)
I got iPad pro 11 1st gen for $519 Apple refurbished (1 year warranty). A12X chip is plenty fast and it has the 120hz screen which is big deal for drawing.
bro I don’t even have school work to do why am i here
I have an ipad pro 12.9, with 1tb of storage and wifi + cellular. Yes, it is definitely expensive lmfao but totally worth it! I have it for almost 6 months now, but i still have a lot of storage considering the fact that i do almost everything on that device.
U LITERALLY HAVE 5 IPADS!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so so so so so jealous!!!!!!!!!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Why would you need 5 iPads 😭😭
Nice video! Were the notes on pacemaker therapy typed or handwritten because if it’s handwritten that would be insane!
Where did you find the wallpaper??
Is it ok if somebody tells me.
Will you also buy iPad pro with M1 chip???
Hi ! I am from Bangladesh.I wanted to buy a ipad so can you tell me that which ipad will good and nice ??And also tell me that which apple pencil works on which ipad?
I doesn't know about those and I doesn't have any idea. I'm not a apple user . so you will know the best because you use ipad. By the way you are so nice 🙂.

Well I got my first iPad on my birthday and I'm very happy with it, it's a air 4 cellular+wifi but I couldn't get the space grey one so I had to get a grey one. Anyway I thought iPad pro was a little too much for me as I'm not even in the college.

Anyways I am super happy with my iPad and it does everything I need it to do, and I have the Apple pencil 1 gen and I am very happy with it too
I think that iPad air 4 is a realy good choise BUT u get only 64 gb and I dont think thats realy enough, and if you want to buy one with 256 gb the price is already almost as much as an iPad pro so I think is more worth the pro version but ofc it depends, and also sorry for if there are mistakes i dont speak english.
Me with a galaxy tab s7 and 💀
Lowkey regret not getting the ipad since the apple pencil feels so much better but oh well
thank you
So basically:
iPad air small and kinda slow, and iPad pro big and fast
the ipad air is really not slow :) i recently got it and if u use it for drawing and notetaking like me and prefer a smaller screen, its enough!
@@cumberbatchvines9604 I was thinking like the refresh rate is slower then the Pro
Yes, air is quite slower compared to the Pro. BUT, Air is a few hundred dollars cheaper than the latter, so I'll take it :)
@@timothykim1216 Yeah that is also why I'm planning to get it 😃
