I LOVE Kim Holden's writing style.. her books certainly have heavy plots (for YA books) but they are so good! She is definitely an underrated author. 💖

I loved Practice Makes Perfect. It was a bit of a rough start, but then it had me laughing and giggling,and I just loved it.
Liz and Wes have my whole heart❤ I love that Lynn Painter wasn’t fixated on making her characters super attractive or good-looking but rather made them relatable
Also, “Mr. Wrong number” from Lynn Painter is soooo good & fun!

Better Than the Movies is by far one of my favorite books. It was the first book I read in August, I got 45 or so pages in and loved it, but then was busy for a few days, so I didn’t get to continue it until a plane right to Colorado for family vacation. The ride was short, but I read as much as I could, then we got to where we were staying and I camped out in the room for the rest of the day and finished it. I think my family was confused about me disappearing for literally the rest of the day, but I have no regrets.
Thriller recommendation “The night she disappeared” by Lisa Jewell. The audiobook was excellent!!
Lynn Painter is PERFECTION!!!! I loved both Better than the movies and The do over!

I found your channel recently and I really like your recommendations! In August I read Dust Child by Nguyen Phan Que Mai. It was a 5/5 for me! It’s a historical fiction book based during the Vietnam war. It was sad but also so worth it to hear the stories based during that time. There are sooo many WWII books out there (for good reason) but I am so glad that the Vietnam war is getting some well earned attention!
I also read Dark Matter by Blake Crouch and I really enjoyed it too! It’s Sci-fi but a more believable version (which I relate more to & love).

Lock every Door is what got me back into reading last year, homeschool momma so for years I've just been reading to kids and that book and Little Secrets by Jennifer Hiller started my love for reading for myself again ..Gotta start somewhere ✌️

Can't wait to read Better Than the Movies! I'm sure I'm who convinced you to read The Other Side, glad you enjoyed it, even if it wasn't a massive favorite. Kim Holden only has 6 books, but is an incredible writer. The Bright Side characters are everything to me (the 1st one starts out slower, but there's a deeper thing going on). It's also involves a band. Kim inspires me, with her writing & as a person!
