Shiyi is always the voice of reason whenever Lingyi is upset. She knows exactly how to deal with him/to coax him into letting go of his anger. He always knows exactly what she's doing but he goes along with it anyways. They truly balance each other out/they're perfect for each other.
General Fu/Dongqing are great together. I love their little banter especially after she cracked his neck. He didn't really notice that she actually helped him until she mentioned it...lol The way he smiled after she ran away was funny. He really likes her. She likes him too so much so that she forgot what she went to do...lol
Wallace such a good actor. The look he gave her when the tried to sooth his anger.. so indulging and loving. I truly belief at that moment the marquis is in love with his wife
Wallace did an amazing job bringing the character of Lingyi to life. You can see from moment to moment just how much he loves Shiyi. She's the only one that has challenged him from day one. She isn't selfish like the rest of the women in his harem. She doesn't scheme to gain his favor. Whenever he encounters difficulties she's always there to calm him down/to give a fresh perspective.

The part with the General and Dongping was pretty funny. I can empathize with the General, as popping your neck hurts at first then feels better afterward. I love Jian as she is very beautiful and personable. Wish the show would have developed her character more than it did. Would love to seen her and Mr. Ou become a couple, they would make an amazing pair and were perfect for each other, except he only had feelings for Shiyi.
Are you talking about Amber? If so, she betrayed Shiyi's trust one too many times. I understand her predicament so I sympathize with her dilemma. However, she was easily manipulated to the point where she would turn on the one person that truly cared about her/wanted to help her. I do think she would've been good with Mr. Ou too/she cared for him but after his family was destroyed he no longer thought he had the right to be happy.
