Jack's finest album hands down. I bought it on vinyl when it was released and have been playing it ever since. (50+ years now). It really takes me back to my youth and a bittersweet time in my life.
Crying today at the news of this man's passing, to an extent that i haven't felt when other idols have died previously, i realise that i can't really measure or describe how MUCH i've loved Jack's art (As expressed with such luminaries as Graham Bond Organisation, Cream, and Lifetime, let alone in his solo music career) over the past four and a half decades or more.
Beautiful, haunting and unappreciated--this album has some real gems on it. I guess too many people were disappointed it wasn't Cream, but they're really missing something.
@djsoundwanker great album, i have been listening this since day i got it in 1971, when was a senior in high school. songs remain timeless, especially tunes like victoria sage, consul at sunset, and post war
Some of the best music of that "progressive" era of the late 1960s and 1970s was written by this man. Truly an overlooked after his parting from Cream.
@pickwickbowl TOTALLY AGREE, i have been following Jack's solo career since Cream broke in 68. Songs for a Tailor, Harmony Row, and Out of the Storm are classics
@BLUESMANRONCHICAGO Exactly the same for me. In fact my classmate gave me Songs for a Tailor because he hated it (nothing like Cream lol)! I immediately loved the album & have played it ever since. These albums are timeless & defy catagorisation. Perhaps because Jack was profficient at so many instruments & had grown up playing in orchestras. I love this stuff
@burgersoft777 first gto into him when he was with graham bond, then thru years with cream and have followed his solo career more than any artist, he has always been an inspiration to me in my music, especially his harmonica playing. have been doing traintime and rollin and tumblin for many years
Simply ignorant.. with a superiority complex.. from those who think that knows it all and got the best taste in the world.. but dont worry I dont mind what guys? like you say honestly!

Jack Bruce's solo albums are VASTLY under-appreciated. I have been lookin' for his records during the years and finally here they are.

One of the most beautiful songs ever!
But Jack lives on in this music!

I will still be listening to this in 100 years time in my afterlife, along with stacks of Jack Bruce's other stuff.

With tears shed . r.i.p Jack .
2.30mins! Priceless! And then at 3.30mins into the coda. Still hits that spot in your soul!
You get it, my friend, you get it!
Jack Bruce's solo albums are VASTLY under-appreciated.
I could not agree more. Some of his best work is within those albums.
Definitely beautiful, love the vocals here, so full of soul!
Was totally unaware of Jack Bruce's solo music. Yes, quite astonishing.
this is just another example of why i love youtube.

What a wonderful melody and Pete Brown lyrics just hit the spot!
Spot on Erlendur Svavarsson

Solo albums right after Cream at his best IMHO. RIP Jack.
