Hi 😁 You should be talking about Vaesen/væsen as "A vaesen" NOT "The vaesen" unless you're refering to a specific vaesen. Vaesen/being... or maybe entity.
From what Ive discovered - The Nordic Sunstone was a stone used to navigate by the sun - Seems to work perfectly even during cloudy days🥰😇 I think it is an optical calcite🥰 I have and love Vaesen, the artwork is amazing, beautiful🥰 Another stellar episode that is very helpful - Ty ty so much🥰🥰😇😇
always glad to see Vaesen content... the game and book are really inspiring... and you can find some cool community content with more creatures and settings :)
I love, love, love 'Into the Wyrd and Wild'! Great thinking on using that for travel. I'll be sure to pull mine out when I start my own Vaesen Solo game.
A supplement is being planned for the British Isles. Btw: I didn't realize until now that the title Vaesen has basically the same meaning as the German word "Wesen" (creature).
I'm no linguist 😅 but i am a Dane. Sweden, Norway and Denmark has "somewhat" the same language or lot in common. Our language is of Germanic (Germany) descent. We have a cylable for "ae" (Vaesen) "æ" which is pronounced like the "ei" sound in the word "Veil." My best translation of Vaesen/væsen would be "Being" and not "creature."
@@PpAirO5 Wesen can have different meanings in German. For example, "Das Wesen von etwas" can mean something's essence or innermost being. However, in the context of this game, Wesen would be defined as "being" in the sense of creature and not its essence. At least that is how i understand it.
@@stoneworkmegapup215.. I actually had a bit of the same thought about it. Cause "Væsen" (the term i like to use) might refere to a being or a soul/spirit/ghost/essence. 😊 It's just that when i think of creature, i think more of an animal or animal like being, or beast of some sort. That's why i think "Being" is the best translation in this situation. I could be wrong.... but i don't think so 😄 Sorry, i was a bit quick on my answer (defending myself) It seems we agree on this 👍
i'm considering purchasing this game. the illustrations remind me, sometimes, the book of faeries (alan lee & brian froud). that was a big influence in my childhood. the solo play would be the main option, so, thanks for the video!
Excellent job, Debra. You would be an amazing GM. Quick question, what aids/books would you recommend to assist in running a Dark War (1985 WW3 Military Horror) or Free League's own Twilight 2000 solo campaign?
Good morning! I’ve been very happy paging through Wanderings, very evocative excerpts! Do you have a link to purchase the second printing of the Wyrd book? Where can I find that hex sheet with the tables that you drew the map on?
@@GeekGamers01 Was hoping for the hardcover but it seems like those are hard to find. Good to know that sheet is in there. Thanks for the reply and for making great videos!
It looks so interesting, but there’s something about solo RPG I don’t understand. If I play alone, do I speak to myself? Or everything happens in my mind?
@@mattjackson Correct. Some of these I made myself; some (including the monster reaction table used here) are from others. The monster reaction table comes from Gygax's AD&D GM Guide (1979) and may be other editions too. My Solo Game Master's Guide discusses the contents of this wallet and reproduces many of the items in it (at least the ones I could get permission to reproduce).

I just bought the book dm screen and cards 3/31/24. I’m so pumped to have found this game even if I’m late to the party! Thanks for posting!
Hope you enjoy!
Oh my gosh I was just about to go to sleep and you drop a video on Vaesen haha. Thank you!
What a beautiful book! Amazing gameplay, as always. Mine arrived in Brazil recently, eager to start a campaign 😍
So glad you enjoyed and yes it is an absolutely lovely book

Yes... I limited my work really to the main book to show what’s possible but as you say there is a lot out there for it
What US distributor can order this from?
@@davidpeters677 I'm not sure but ask on the Free League website contact
Thank you
@@davidpeters677 you can get most of the books on Amazon.
Debra I love the story that you came up with this one. This is perhaps my most favorite gameplay narrative from you.:)
The Writer, the Doctor and The Detective; or Doyle, Watson and Holmes
Indeed! The game is afoot!

I've been aware of this game, but now that I see the book, the images, and your wonderful ideas, I really want to play this!

Great story. Free League is making way too many good RPGs with deep settings. I want them all! This one will have to wait.
Great Adventure. Hopes you will continue in the dungeon sometime! I really liked that "junkenrotter" monster :-)
I liked it too! I may well use INTO THE WYRD again... tho likely not with Vaesen
The map/paper with trails and compas... was that from the Wyrd & wild book ??
I absolutly love the idea shown here.
I think so yes
this channel is awesome

From where did you pull your DIY oracle cards?
From my solo RPG wallet. I did a video on it, here: ruclips.net/video/kaCM-QQwBQA/видео.htmlsi=R_I0gEdeC6MbVIK1

Whatever you prefer. Both. Neither. Something else entirely. There aren't any rules for that.
@@GeekGamers01 I imagined it was a matter of personal choice. I would like to talk during the sessions. I hope it doesn’t sound weird 😅
Very nice! Can I ask where those oracle cards are from?
Time stamp?
Around 35 mins. I believe she made those, uses them quite frequently in her videos.

87 far too old and frail for a pc
I’d have taken Betty White at 87 with me anywhere.
