- Hi guys, welcome back to my channel!
In this video, I will show you how to make an extra large macrame plant hanger very easily.
You need to prepare: 4mm cotton cord (twisted or braided), 1 hook and a scissors.
This macrame plant hanger includes the knots: square knot, larks head knot, double half hitch, wrappes knot...All of them are basic knots, so you can easily practice.

Just finished this project and it was difficult. Took me a week to make it but it looks amazing! I extended the diamond pattern by two more to make the hanger longer cause the single ply cotton thread I was using tied a bit tighter.
It says for beginners... I am a beginner and cannot figure it out. Took it apart and found an easier one.
I’d save some cord, by using a wooden ring. In my opinion, it’s such a waste to make a loop with ropes, when you have other rings etc…
Ropes became expensive..
@@tuttim83 yeah, when I started macrame I was surprised at the price of cord. Shipping isn't cheap either. I guess people like the aesthetic look of this knot, but you could definitely use a different style.

Hi there, the total amount of cord I used about 115 metters.
Never seen larkshead knot done that way very difficult to follow if you have never done them before I would not have been able to follow
Maybe start with beginners level tutorials.
After a while it starts to be so easy that you do it in your sleep 😉

I’m so stuck on this I’ve added the x2 169” I can’t work it out from the how many cords I should have when I do the half hitch knot

@@TracyTaylor-zb9ux the 169" is the 8 x 430cm cords. You use 1 at each side of the 4 legs....

I am a rookie. I cannot tell what you are doing at 6:45 or so to hook the bottom point of the diamond together. I really wish RUclips had a SLOW MODE! THIS IS REALLY BEAUTIFUL, though.
RUclips does have a setting where u can slow down the video, but this person can't tell you how he did it because he stole the video
