Newtown Students sing "Over the Rainbow" Music Video

- On January 9th and 14th, 2013, a group of students from Newtown, CT gathered to rehearse, perform, and record a new version of "Over The Rainbow," in dedication to the events at Sandy Hook. The hope of this video is to convey the beautiful, resilient spirit that members of this community demonstrated during those sessions. This is a testament to a community whose determined process of recovery, founded on goodwill, hope and love, can serve as an inspiration to us all. Please share this spirit.
The song is available on amazon and iTunes, where 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Newtown Youth Academy and the United Way of Western Connecticut.

I absolutely cried. Thank you for showing us your resilience and that there is hope left. Don't just think of the victims on 12/14, think of them every time you see a rainbow or a bluebird. I refuse to let my heart hold anything but love for those that died.

Besides the absolutely touching sentiment of this video, the look on the faces of the studio techs was priceless. It was like they were seeing their first sunrise. Incredible.

I just googled it--It's a not-for-profit community sports facility for the town and surrounding communities that was opened up as a refuge for all the kids after the shooting by the owner, who sounds like a great guy.

Sad my daughter school is catholic and they were all in mass at that time but the principals phone buzzed and it said about the kids that were killed and the next week they painted there hand green and put it on a paper and then sent it to the Sandy Hook School
