Wow! This is so interesting! I have recently learned about the colonial era in your country, and find it fascinating! Thanks for making this tour available on RUclips! Wonderful! ~Janet in Canada
Thank you Becca! I’m glad it “hit the spot”. I’m working on more calming videos because I need them too! I’m on a hamster wheel and have to calm down a bit.
Anne hello from New Jersey. We just had a day of flooding rains. I often think of you on days like this because your hometown of Patterson always gets flooded. This video was a peaceful diversion today from the heavy raining outside
It’s nice to see places that are being preserved and to see the everyday items that were utilized by them. As much as I enjoy the beauty of the old things and ways, I sure do appreciate modern conveniences. 😊Thank you for sharing!
Thank you ‘As I am thinking about how I want to slowly do the interior of our home over , I am always leaning towards early American / primitive . It’s so relaxing for the soul for sure . It’s so understated but in a beautiful way ! I can’t not stand these modern farmhouse junk now . I love to see well perserved homes like this !
I stepped back in time while visiting this historic home!! Every room is perfect for the period. The open hearth fireplace with all the cooking implements is like yours, Anne!!! I had to laugh to myself when I imagined Tom sticking his head up the chimney once again!!!
That’s so funny! I don’t think he stuck his head up that chimney. Our tour guide was very attentive so he spent the time listening to her. I had a hard time videoing too because the rooms were so very tiny and our guide was so knowledgeable that I just wanted to listen lol
Beautiful cabin. I would love for you to give us a tour of your personal kitchen. I'm not as primitive as most of your followers but try to mix vintage and prim because we do love antiques. I have a hard time with my kitchen. We can't live without our modern appliances.
Beautiful tour Anne we have so much history in NE and I love that we have places to go tour still. And of course you know I enjoyed the music 🎶😅 Thank you for another great video.🕊️💚
Aw thank you! Yes I have a bunch in my archives to share and I’m sure I’ll go to more this year again. Some homes don’t let people video which is disappointing so I’m glad some of these places let me!
You’re right! Just enough space for what they needed. It’s funny because it’s now a busy corner across from a liquor store. So being on the property was a step back in time but then the traffic brought me back.
Thanks
A great tour of this 1660 house! Thanks, Anne. Blessings
Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us… loved the simplicity of it ❤

Paterson always gets flooded down by the river! We had that terrible storm up here too. We were driving through it!
Spring is on its way. The daffodils are up no matter what the weather. A good sign sunny days are coming. Happy spring!!!
❤️❤️❤️
Amazing!! Look at the size of the Hearth Stone and those Beams!!
Absolutely Amazing!! ♥️
I love the old construction!!

Thank you Sandy! Yes there are quite a few in New England. We normally spend our weekends in the more mild
Weather visiting them.
Beautiful! Thank you. Enjoy all your videos.
Thank you Luana!

Loved the simplicity.
It was a very simple home yes!! That was the word I thought of too!
❤
I would love to find out and see how they built them. The entire process from beginning to end.
Beautiful old home, you can just picture a family there! Looks like they had what was needed for their time! Loved the music!

Anne thank you that home is so simple and beautiful
You’re welcome Melanie!
Beautiful Anne! Magnificent fireplaces! 💕
Yes I love the old stone!!
Have u been to Mark Twain and Harriet Beecher Stowe homes in Hartford? They were a school trip for me many, many years ago.
Oh yes I have!!! Those were fascinating tours!
@@AnneClay 😊
Georgious, It is hard to believe they were so advanced that far back.I can just picture how comfortable and happy they were
That’s such a happy thought.
