i love going for runs genuinely its a big part of my life and where i find enjoyment BUT i definitely dont always have the energy or feel like doing it in a given moment
We can be passionate about something as a whole without desiring or liking the process. That's how I see it. For example, working on making my brush strokes more consistent is monotonous and boring. I know that the practice will make my art more consistent and I will make less mistakes. I'm passionate about self expression and wanting my expression be accurately depicted on the page. The process to get there can just suck.
Neurodivergent people often struggle with this (myself included). I'm really passionate about a lot of things, but often my executive dysfunction, demand avoidance, and perfectionism related anxiety gets the better of me and I avoid my hobbies even though I still remain passionate about them.
That’s a really cool drawing.
Thank you! Have a wonderful day.
Genuine question : how can you be passionate about something if you *don't want* to do it?
