Maybe it's because of my age but I like the conservative, refined styling of the okavango vs the coolray's sporty looks. It suits the suv/mpv/cross mpv vibe that it wants to project plus for me, this kind if styling ages better (than sporty ones)
I don’t understand why he keeps on looking for the sporty materials (eg twin exhaust pipes, grille design) found in the Coolray compared with this one. Let this car serve its purpose, and for it to be a family car!
I like your reviews Reygan! Especially in English! My recommendation is to add reviews of the music sound system, have a 'nightview' lighting review showing how the inside and outside looks at night including vanity, 'mood' lighting, outside normal, high beam, fog lights, signalling, etc. You know how Filipinos like music and lights! Also I noticed you didn't mention the ride quality over bumps and road irregularities of this review. Regarding video I would recommend more panning closeup shots (3 to 6 inch camera distance) of both the exterior interior and less video shots of you. Yes you are guapo but if you think about it most of your viewers are more interested in how the car looks and not in how you look. Also, please include the pricing options of the different models offered and the different exterior color options. Thanks Reygan!
I sat in this car for the better part of a day and I didn't notice the resemblance to q-tips, but now that you mentioned it, I can't unsee it. 🤣 Nice review, bro!

Okavango and Coolray offer to different demographics, hence the style difference. So there's no point in comparing them. I own a coolray and i would love to have okavango when i get the chance.
Same here please! We were the couple who asked you about the Okavango while you were shooting this Okavango review while you were in the dealership, and test drove it after you :) After you mentioned the Tiggo 8, we found ourselves in Chery a few days after to test-drive the Tiggo 8 Luxe EX.
@@monmontv2664 Walang stock daw ang Tiggo 8 Luxe EX nationwide (tentative Dec pa daw). Parehong magaang i-drive. Mas mabilis humatak si Okavango, and mas malaki ang cabin space niya. Mas comfortable ang seats niya, hindi matigas ang bolster (vs Coolray/Azkarra). Si Okavango elegante ang loob kahit simple, vs Azkarra. Si Tiggo 8 may tech features na mas impressive (auto at remote tailgate, smart watch, ambient indoor light), and of course, may sunroof! Ang nakakagulat sa Chery, they boast of great aftersales service and bigger network. Meron din silang mobile app para madaling humingi ng assistance. Pero pag dating sa promo pricing, mababa ang discounting ng Chery Pasig. So hindi pa rin kami fully decided. Which is why I'm curious about Reygan's inputs.

Hi Rey bro...You know bro I've seen a latest review just premiered last Feb 12, 2021 from the other car blogger and I found that Geely got a latest variant for the Geely Okavango and it is the Geely Okavango Urban Plus. I remember in your review bro with this Okavango Urban that it doesn't have a sunroof or moonroof but I think Geely heard your suggestion and they made an upgrade to the Okavango and now they fitted it with a moonroof ha ha ha...It would be very exciting bro if you can make a full review and a drive impression with the latest Geely Okavango Urban Plus. What do you it think bro?
How about the spare parts, is it available anywhere? Some modifying parts should it fit here or does Geely have some little modifying "pampa pogi" parts for additional for this model?
Hi Rey bro, can you confirm bro whether GEELY OKAVANGO is an SUV or an MPV...it would be very great for me if you could give a little time to answer my doubt on GEELY OKAVANGO. thank you bro.
Reliability, durability, parts availability, and after sales service for me is much more important than interior, technology, looks. Hopefully geely or china made cars in general will pass the "test" in maybe 5 years and we will all have a peace of mind in driving made in china cars. No offense but iba pa rin kasi pag made in japan. Although i love the coolray and mg zs 😂
May point po kayo dun pero iilan lang po ang andito sa atin na "truly" made in japan, mostly japanese brands but made elsewhere in asia, and for some models, even from UK (type R, for example). Anyway, there's a 5-yr, 150K kms warranty, so I think it's worth the consideration, for myself anyway ✌️🤣.. This or coolray, for me.
It's cool naman, though when it goes to hyrbid mode (engine shut off), the ac is also a bit warm. Compressor may shut or slow down when in hybrid mode, which is normal to save charge.
@@ReygansRides Thank you for your insightful response sir. We are planning to buy this car on December and your review helps us a lot. You dont get the rear differentials and second tranny from the 4x4 azkarra. The curb weight is lesser but if you fully load the azkarra and the okavango it will be roughly the same weight
Is there any certification from IIHS or JD EDWARDS regarding safety....vehicles made in China cannot be certified because of the flaws in their designs and dangerous to drive.
Kaya nga haha its is annoying that he keep comparing Azkarra/Coolray to this where this is marketed differently - It is like comparing Toyota Innova to Corolla Cross/RAV 4
It has 190horses, but is bigger and heavier. Coolray only has 170horses, but is obviously lighter. Which of the two are you fond of, from your speed devil perspective.
@@marinerchris Aftersales is about how good is their PMS support given that this is apparently a semi hybrid car. what is the cost ? bottomline is the cost of ownership
This is a confusing review tbh Rey. Let the car serves its purpose. Comparing it to its sportier siblings is kind of rubbish. This is a good buy for those who want a great car, 7 seater with lots of Safety features and functions, high tech and super nice interior in a good budget.
Hey bro, it is a fantastic car, I just wanted to see how Geely managed to offer it at a lower price point than their 5-seater Azkarra (given the same engine). I believe I mentioned that at the start of the video. Hence why I pointed out some differences between the Azkarra/Coolray and the Okavango. Hope this clears it up.
the okavango offers better driving performance. it comes with a more powerful mild hybrid petrol engine that produces 190HP and 300NM of torque. on the road that translates to 3 drive modes of your choosing - eco, comfort or sport mode. for stop and go city driving the 360 degree panoramic view camera gives you a peace of mind. for long drives and out of town adventures, the hill start assist and hill descent control can be pretty handy.
japanese brands are poor design and interior. i visit ERINS GARAGE YT comment section, japanese people want to drive, buying korean cars in japan bcuz saying luxurious, modern than domestic cars.
