As a Christian mother of a trans child (42 yo), this is the most devastating thing I've ever dealt with. My child and "spouse" have broken up our family. My amazing grandson (16) is in the middle of this 😢. Prayer is what I have, as well as the infinite power of the Holy Spirit, to break the chains of wrong/evil. To break the strongholds. This is in God's hands. God, I pray that YOU will turn my child away from wrong thinking and destructive behavior 🙏 🤲🙏🤲. AMEN!
In many languages, even trying to avoid looking the problem in the eye by saying "you" won't suffice. In French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Polish, and pretty much anything I can think of, several words in any typical sentence will vary depending upon the other person's gender. No linguistical stunt gives you an easy way out 😀
My daughter works for a company where two of her teammates are so-called transgender. She is a Christian, but she does use their preferred proper names and pronouns in theworkplace. I informed her that this might be sinful since it's not biblically accurate. I'll share this episode with her in the hope that she prays about it and chooses the path that fully affirms God's designed order.
I thought the point was to save the lost? not to hold some fictional self righteous high ground like the pharisees. love is our only way to evangelism. Christians today arent worried about going to their aunt's 2nd wedding but if their son wants to marry Steve, our love stops there? Judge those who judge, he did not come to earth to condem.
Shouldn't go to the aunt's 2nd wedding either if it is a sinful one. You are correct to call out the double standard but the solution is to be consistent in not approving of sin (participating in a wedding is saying yes I think these ppl should be joined as one). If morality comes from God as Christians believe it does, then the high ground is not fictional, it is real and we have a duty to live in accordance with it. Living according to truth is love even if the other party may not receive it as such at the moment.
Jesus embraced himself as the most offensive man in history. "If the world hates you, remember it hated me first" "I have not come to bring peace but a sword"
@@jesse65847 I am not talking about professing believers... I am saying this toward the loss. Jesus had meals with prostitutes & the outcasts to be kind & witness to them.. he did shame the "religious" elites. We are doing it all over again. If you kill the relationship, what hope do you have to be a witness in their life & save them? You can go to a gay wedding & not support gay marriage but still show love to a lost soul.. you can do both things. If its a professing Christian having a gay marriage then we shouldn't support that.
If Calvinism is true can someone try and sin, if they are able to dwell in sin and enjoy can we assume they are predestined to hell otherwise heaven? Is this reasoning correct?
You have free will, but god is all knowing. There is often a debate, that because God knows something is going to happen, that he made it happen. God gave us free will, so we can choose to sin or not. If god made us incable of sinning, and chose all our actions, we would just be robots. God wants to have a personal relationship with him, he wants us to come to him, and trust him. This is very crude and a butchered response from me, however I can link some videos on John Piper explaining Calvinism. I would focus on abiding in Chirst, not a denomiation. I believe what the bible says, I would consider myself non demoniational. I think these demonitions come from are unwillingness to accept that our human minds and while we are in this world, can not understand everything about God and how he does things: “Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways, and how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?” (Job 26:14) Deuteronomy 29:29 ‘The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children for ever’.

I hope you can persuade your child to listen to this 🙏 I will say a prayer for that. 💒

Great answer Pastor, thank you. 🙏🙏🙏

I have people like this at work too. If you don't play along, you get fired. Your daughter is being pragmatic.

No
@kirjian why
@@akshayebenezar that's not what calvinism says, not even close
@@kirjian Can u suggest some good resources to understand Calvinism (preferably videos)

We as followers of Christ SHOULD ABSOLUTELY NEVER give in to this "pronoun" wickedness. We should ABSOLUTELY call men men and women women.

@nml5536 stupid comment. Calling out sin is not "judging "
@@nml5536Jesus said he came to turn family against each other. This subject is the kind of thing he was referring to.
I wish Piper was this sound when it comes to Politics
