Thank you for the requeset :) Yes this was from you! Haha thank you very much, I also love using new reels and stuff and wishing our viewers enjoy watching this with excitement :)
Thank you very much! Unfortunately those are not JDM reels and thoerefore we are not able to import here. Just from spec but BG MQ is quite similar to Caldia SW 2022 that we reviewed, and Ballistic MQ is quite similar to this Caldia 2021, which probably helps you to understand for those 2 reels I reckon?
Hi! They are quite different so really depends on what you are after, and what is for. Caldia LT is the light weight budget reel which is not that strong against SW as of ZAION-V body + rotor, so if you want light weight, light spinning reel then LT is the one, but if you want one for heavy duty, strong and tough use, metal body SW is the one for you.
The daiwa TD Black MQ 2021 and daiwa caldia mq is the same reel? Cos this to came out of the same year. I didn't end up buying the caldia. Cos it didn't pass my liking. Thanks for the nice video
Thank you very much! Well I don't have TD Black MQ but I assume those are almost the same, or at least quite similar as DAIWA reels with Monocoque body are on the same base, so if the features are the same they can be quite similar. One thing, TD Black only has normal gear models and Caldia has variety of size and gear ratios.
@jpfishingtacklenews195 Yes TD Black MQ reel only have a standard gear ⚙️. And TD Black MQ reel. Is sold only in Australia 🇦🇺 market only. If you see a daiwa fishing equipment have a TD. It means exclusive sold for Australian market only.
Yes I think so, as now the new Luvias 2024 becomes even more expensive.. Now I am a bit worried how much the new Caldia 2025 would become expensive but I think this is good budget reel.
Caldia is good, but the mag sealed easily mis-align. If you want Daiwa reel with mag-sealed just go for Luvias or higher model or just buy a non-magsealed Daiwa reel.
Thank you very much for your comment :) Interesting, I haven't actually had that experience as this Caldia 2021 is still in use with no trouble, I am willing to know how many more users have the same issue.
They are quite different, the Stradic is definitely more rigid and heavy comparing to the Caldia, this reel is much closer to Vanford, so if you wanted to have heavier but stronger, Stradic will be better, and if you wanted a lighter reel then Caldia could be the one.
@@jpfishingtacklenews195 i am pretty sure bad anti reverse bearing because when the reel get cold that u can reel the reel both way forward and reverse i bought it on amazon so all i did was return it and that that than bought a different reel
@@jpfishingtacklenews195 magsealed daiwa's tend to stiffen up at low temps and especially below zero, they still do work but the resistance when turning handle increases. When you get the reel in warm place it goes back to normal but that's quite an annoying feature for someone who lives in colder climates. :D
i will personally say that this model is not very good at all. My friend's 5000 caldia was sent to me for repair, the main bearing is so tiny, the size is like the same as the side bearings of the handle (not like shimano which has huge main bearing. The One way clutch is prone to slippage. Better buy the stradic.
I am afraid you are referring to Caldia SW not LT aren't you? Caldia LT does not have 5000 size body. Although my Caldia SW still works fine after 2 years though, the gear is made by zinc and Stradic SW gear is made by duralumin for one perspective. I can suspect the one-way clutch and gear issues could be from the leak of MagSealed oil which can cause of both issues, that you might be able to ask Daiwa to have a look at.
@@jpfishingtacklenews195 yes, you're correct. The caldia SW is has poor design. The cost to replace is quarter the price of the parts(the one way clutch alone) without new bearings and magseal fluid, so better buy a new one.
Thank you for the review! I think it was my request. Looking at all your reviews makes me want to buy a new reel 😀

Thank you for this great review. Is there any chance you will review BG MQ or Ballistic MQ?
Thank you very much!

@@jpfishingtacklenews195 oh, I didn't know that you don't have those models. Thank you, I will try to draw conclusion
Yeah sorry mate, we wish we had those as well. DAIWA lineups are a bit funny, sometimes global model has more variety than JDM.
I love the daiwa blast LT.
Thank you for sharing your loved one! We actually really wonder why that Blast LT does not come out renewed yet..
Hi would you prefer 21 Caldia 4000 or 22 Caldia SW 4000 for PE 1.5/20lb

Do the Soare BB and compare it to this and the gekka bijin X please
Thank you for the request, we'll consider this :)
Sound that is a best reels that use in light game if you don’t have enough budget to buy luvias
Yes I think so, as now the new Luvias 2024 becomes even more expensive..
Now I am a bit worried how much the new Caldia 2025 would become expensive but I think this is good budget reel.
The body is zaionv?
Yes the body is Zaion-V, at least Offical says so :)

i bought one of this about a year and when the reel got very cold than the reel would not work right so i return it back to the seller for full refund
Oh I am sorry to hear your negative eperience, I am really wondering what was happened... Did you find out what was going on?
