Congratulations on the playlist! Could you make a tutorial with planetary gears and how to calculate the contact force between gears? Could you also make a tutorial of two magnets being attracted to each other due to magnetic force? Could you make a tutorial of a magnet aligning itself with the external magnetic field due to magnetic torque? Thank you very much!
Hello, I am currently employed in the field of food drying and I am interested in understanding how the reduction of moisture can influence changes in the geometry of food products. I would greatly appreciate any guidance or information on how to effectively determine and control these changes. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Best regards,
Thanks for sharing! May I ask how to use the deformed geometry in a time-dependent situation? Say, I have a mechanical model and the geometry deformed with time. Then I want to use the result of it for another magnetic model.
If your are dealing with a structure with mechanical deformation, you may need to define the properties of your materials (e.g. elasticity and damping) properly. Then, as you apply the mechanical load in a time domain, your system will deform over time automatically. However, if your system is not a solid mechanic problem and you are modeling a moving or deforming domain in another domain (e.g. a magnet inside air), you may need to use moving mesh and assign deforming mesh to your domains. Then, your system can have deformation under the targeted dynamic that you apply over time. For both cases, you can simply extract the results at the desired time steps and use that elsewhere.
@@Teacheetah Thanks for your help. I have a solid mechanics model in Abaqus and can get the displacement and velocity field over time. But I'm struggling with how to transfer this into COMSOL with moving mesh.
When I changed the surrounding material (for example water instead of air), nothing changed (The graph of electrical potential, distribution,...). Why? doesn't matter what the surrounding material is?
Thanks for short explanation! Very helpful. If i were you i would import the potential distribution whthin the PVDF domain.
please share videos on applying different boundary condition in Comsol.
Sure, we will upload videos on this topic

Thanks for the comment, planning to add new videos for our COMSOL playlist. We will consider these topics in our new videos

Specially in nano beams. I always have problems in nano scale simulations.
Thanks for the suggestion, we will cover the topic of nano resonators in near future

Hi! Cat I use a block in geometry to design walls and basement for a multistorey building in 3d??

very good
Thank you! Cheers! we will have a few more videos on COMSOL, stay tuned
اذا ممكن اريد شرح كامل لهذا البرنامج بالعربي
Thanks for the comment, at this moment we only have lectures in English, in future we will add more videos in Arabic too, Stay tuned
