Boats the size of small towns bobbed up and down, lit by lantern glow. The sound of laughing, yelling, and festivities could be heard for miles around, emanating from the countless ships and coastal city beyond. This was the great port city of Riskelgr. Almost every man or woman around was tall, brutish, and seemingly on the verge of yelling. The men wore short-sleeved tunics, or no shirts at all, their jaws darkened by grizzle and hair. Hundreds, if not thousands of redwood barrels, all of which contained some form of heavy spirit and drink, sat scattered around, some half-empty and cracked open. The dock wood was perpetually soaked, covered in sea slime and barnacles, creaking beneath the weight of beer-filled men that tromped back and forth. Taverns and pubs of all kinds were alive and bustling, especially the local favorite, known to sailors as the Sea Dog's Shanty. Barmaids hurried to and fro, passing drinks around with incredible speed and determination, the patrons draining them just as quickly. Coin and strong ale flowed like a river. The few fishermen who did not feel like joining in the fun, and were deemed insane for such an opinion, sat in their small rowboats out past the docks, small round lanterns providing them with light. They dropped their lines in the water, patiently waiting for bites. Each hoped to catch the elusive Gemscale Salmon, which could fetch quite the price on the open market. Occasionally, other ships pulled in to have their part in the celebration and ruckus; captains either payed the entry fee or bribed their way into port with money or drink, breaking open their casks to partake. Every night was the same as this. No one complained, plenty fought and drank, and all anticipated the coming of a new night. 📌 Here's another ambience for your RPG sessions or for your projects, a medieval harbour, with sea sounds, people, rats, guild workers, and many others. You do not have to worry about that, I will just keep uploading more and more of it ;) Please keep spreading the word about my ambiences / songs please, that can only help me release more!
@@Lucerbius RPG stands for Role Playing Game. Examples of an RPG that you would use this ambient music for while playing, would be the tabletop RPGs Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder.
I'm currently writing up a D&D campaign that's based around the party being pirates, sailors, and the like. Finding this music is actually amazing because I personally believe adding music to a campaign just makes it better and more immersive. 10/10 I'd love to use this video and many others from you
Starting a campaign next week that starts off in Nicodranas (a port city from Critical Role) so this is perfect! I have a bunch of your stuff saved to a playlist. Thanks for the great tools!
@@MichaelGhelfiStudios Thanks for the quick response ! It's just so hard to find good ambient sounds sometimes, and yours are some of the better ones I've been able to find.
@@Playmikesux Thanks I appreciate. They are good because there are no loop (among other reasons), but because of that, I can't share Roll20-compatible sounds as they care hardly be made seamless.
Michael Ghelfi - RPG Ambiences & Music Yeah I understand, a 20MB upload limit is difficult to work around. If you ever find a way to make it work, I’ll scoop that pack up in an instant ! Otherwise I’ll work with what we’ve got right now lol.

"rpg playlist" - How it stands for? What does this word mean?

Boosting to fight the algorithm. Fighting that tyranny much like a pirate. 🏴☠️
Argg! 😄👍🏻🏴☠️
What’s funny is most pirates actually worked for tyrants

Aah...you beat me to it
Why is the rum always gone. Bugga!
"Welcome to Port Royal, Mister Smith"😎 I Understood That Reference 😎
I salute u Sir🫡
Currently running a dnd campaign set on a large island with a coastal city, couldn’t have asked for a better ambience video. Love it!
This makes me think about: get up early open the bakery and start a new day in town .. I love the idea hahaha
And, as soon I got off that boat, my new life awaited as a traveling Litrary Critic.
This will make a fine addition to my campaign
Just bought this package and the short themes one. Cant wait to use it at my table, together with softrope. This is amazing!
Wonderful! Thank you very much!
Always nice seeing a union jack flying high 😂😂
Begone, Colonizer!

Ahh... good ol days without social media
How did you know the characters in the book I'm writing are at a medieval harbor right now?????
Saltmarsh? :)
Anyone know if the stuff on his Bandcamp have small enough file sizes to be used with Roll20 ?
No it's too big. I recommend using www.watch2gether.com instead

Love the sounds but it would be so much better without the big word across the screen
Yeah that's right. That's what I used to do back in the days. I'll maybe reupload all of that soon :)
love it
typing this while my dm explains something that im not listening to
Dunno about bird chirping
Seagulls would make far more sense
The fact that this says Harbour on the screen the whole time ruins the immersion. Otherwise well done.
That was our old style. We changed it since then, but we can't update the video sadly :(
