You could tame high level dire wolf by going to the hardest cave which is the Ice Cave you just need to kill him and get his implant now go to an obelisk to revive him but cost 30 amber make sure on the obelisk make a trap for it or just ready your bolas... I hope this helps

Schwalbe, you can do the same with an Araneo and you can attack land creatures without them agroing on you except for Onyc. But if you attack the creatures yourself whilst on the back of the Araneo, they agro.
I did this cave on easy with a 180 wolf that had an asc flak helmet from the admins with 1400 dura and 1300 armor. We fought most of the things and halfway out after getting the artifact his helm broke and he almost died (bruh 5 yetis 10 onycs and another 10 wolves of crazy levels is too much for him) then we fell in freezing water. I took his implant and helm before dying and respawning. He was still alive because he was out of render so i requested him. I was on casual so i still had the artifact, and now the wolf is safe and recovered :D
Funny Story though... I went into the Central Cave to tame a Megalosaurus.It took me so long to find a level 30 so I leave game and save just in case something gone wrong. Then I came back everything reset!😂
I looked up the centipede’s (AKA arthopleura) stats on the dododex and it does 127.89 damage for a melee attack and 213.15 for its acid attack. Pretty good is I say do myself, but this is coming from a guy who never tamed a centipede.
I play on medium not hard, but I have a compound bow that deals 1007 damage. I got it from the basalosaur hunt pursuit. I would think for your difficulty that isn’t that great. But it isn’t terrible. I don’t know how high you can get it, but I’m sure you can do better.

This literally helped me on my last save, i got a compound bow. The problem is, I DIDNT KNOW HOW TO FIRE THEM. it taught me on my current save tho, im only just starting. I have a dimorph, a trike, a dilo, and a dodo, im a lvl 24.
You know its surprisingly easy to just run in and grab the artifact and run back out, well for me it is usually after i grab the artifact most of the stuff chasing me sometimes despawn for some reason
Lmao u can just go in with a wolf and run btw in the start if u get tre things to agro on u u can go to a place where they despawn and tada easy artifact. Btw yes it is a good now if u just spam arrows Quick.
