Jokes about "shortest villain arc of all time" aside, I do like that the characterization is strong enough that literally everyone understands "oh, he's posing as a twist villain so that you dont feel guilty about letting him die."
G'raha read Count de Fortemps' memoirs. He saw how much Haurchefant's death affected us. G'raha didn't want to put us through that pain. He didn't want us to mourn him. Also, I love how Alisaie is the only one who's buying it in any way.
@@ericbright1742 G'raha: "I am betraying the WoL so that they can survive this adventure with a clean conscience, for they are my rock and inspiration and there is no price I would not pay to save them" Alisaie coming in with the steel chair: "I stopped listening at 'I am betraying the WoL', catch these hands, bitch!"
reminds me of that youtube video about pronouncing Milk as Malk and then ending up with the guy trying to shoot himself while his friends tried to stop him by threatening to shoot him.
I was chuckling a bit when Shtola asked Urianger if he had something up his sleeve. I was like, the man's in a new getup and sleeveless, how can he hide something up there. Whats he gonna do, pinch it in his armpits? XD
Your reaction is 100% normal and natural. I cried just watching this video. FF14 is one of the best-written games I've every played, and the story continually hits just as hard even after you've finished it. There's a reason so many of us watch new players' journeys as "emotional vampires" lol.
Shadowbringers is absolutely incredible, it's been really cool following along with your reaction videos. It makes me really happy, watching new players playing through it and remembering why I love it so much.
It's cutscenes like this is one of the reasons why I haven't played any other MMOs lately simply because other MMOs hadn't made me feel so connected to the characters as FFXIV had.
lol I cannot believe you actually made the parallel with GW: Nightfall. I mean, it is true, and it kind of sounds like G'raha is putting Kormir on blast, which is hilarious as someone who has played both games XD
its kinda funny, everyone is so caught up by the whole "mysterious hooded man" thing to not realize the true engaging mystery, and the real twist, isn't "who is the exarch" (as said its supremely obvious, It literally can't be anyone else except maybe an errant Doga or Unei clone, MAYBE.) but "how did he get here" which i dont think you could ever guess except as a wild shot in the dark. god SHB was powerful, insane writing skill on display.
Ah yes, Final Fantasy 14, where the fans love getting emotionally destroyed and then ask for more. It's also nice you get alt / extra dialogue depending how much content you do before newer released content.
Would love to see Laranity's reaction to the "A skit about the Exarch reveal scene from SHB | FFXIV Animated" by BeneG. Find that so funny and always think on it when seeing the scene in this video. Its a parody of the same scene :D Dont want to post a direct link to just search for the name of the video on youtube :D
8:03 --- OMG >.< Bloody... argh, yes, Kormir just hopping off with god powers and we're perfectly okay with it and of course it works XD 10:37 --- Hence why always keep auto-play on for voice acted cutscenes: in general every question I have is answered in the next dialog ^^° 12:40 --- Well, Crystal Tower is mandatory now so I guess this option is a left over from when it wasnt... Fun fact: I didnt do Crystal Tower back then -.- My guild just told to focus down MSQ and ignore everything else. Worst advise EVER. I cant even remember what I felt here :( ... No wonder I like watching sprouts ^^°
I can't watch this scene anymore without seeing Emet off camera smacking his gun when it misfires...
Me too 😂
“Farewell my friend, my inspiration...” *gunshot* “My back!”
lol damn it now that you reminded me i cant think of it without that now lmao
"He said he didnt know G'raha Tia!"
sHE beLIEveD

@@ecyor0I love them both so much. 😂😭
THIS is the emotional rollercoaster we crave. Your tears have sustained us for today Lara.
All was fine-ish till Stormblood, but the fucking dam open in Shadowbringer and Endwalker. They make these two expansions with onions!!!!
"I prevented him from killing himself by shooting him in the back. Clearly, I am the hero in this situation."
"Emet-Selch, no."
reminds me of that youtube video about pronouncing Milk as Malk and then ending up with the guy trying to shoot himself while his friends tried to stop him by threatening to shoot him.
Also saved Yshtola and Invited you to Amaurot. Now who is the real hero of the story
I was chuckling a bit when Shtola asked Urianger if he had something up his sleeve. I was like, the man's in a new getup and sleeveless, how can he hide something up there. Whats he gonna do, pinch it in his armpits? XD
maybe shes not talking bout his arm sleeves 😉
"I'm feeling too many emotions!!"
Yep, that's the FF14 experience.

Dude this game is so nuts. Every time I look back at people reacting it's still amazing
seeing highlights like these makes me wish we would have this level of writing in gw2 :(
such and emotional and brilliant scene
we could have this in EoD, but we needed more time with soo-won.
Shadowbringers is absolutely incredible, it's been really cool following along with your reaction videos. It makes me really happy, watching new players playing through it and remembering why I love it so much.
Lara's journey from "is it G'raha?", to "it's not G'raha!" and in the end "it is G'raha!" is the best story ark in ShB.
The "..." when asking him! Hahaha
It's cutscenes like this is one of the reasons why I haven't played any other MMOs lately simply because other MMOs hadn't made me feel so connected to the characters as FFXIV had.
Ah that Classic Shadowbringer Welcoming. That whole stream was the best ever
Sorry… i agree this scene is very emotional… but since i saw the animated parody from BeneG, i just can't stop laughing xD
Lol yeah. Has anyone shown it to her?
One does not simply play Shadowbringers without suffering EMOTIONAL DAMAGE
lol I cannot believe you actually made the parallel with GW: Nightfall. I mean, it is true, and it kind of sounds like G'raha is putting Kormir on blast, which is hilarious as someone who has played both games XD
Also, always hilarious that Emet-Selch, probably one of the most powerful magic users even among his peers, decides to pull out a fucking gun.
The best is when people assume exarch is graha is too obvious and they get these wild theories on who he is, then its like nah its the obv answer.

If you are an emotional Vampire, this is perfect for you XD
Lara pulling up the Nightfall box after the thief line had me in stitches. 10/10, flawless joke.
Came here to make a joke about Lara’s tears equaling my happiness. But it got me too. 😢
shadowbringers = best story ever

You know that old anecdote about being careful what you wish for?
"i can fix him"
Graha Tia? No, graha tears
Why are so many people so much trying to evade their emotions via making jokes etc.? Why not just embrace them?
Straight up Gaslighting herself there at the start
