- Wengen, one of the most beautiful mountain villages in Switzerland. Wengen is about 1300 m high lies above the Lauterbrunnen town and valley and it is a part of the Jungfrau region. A car-free town that can be acceible by the Wengernalpbahn from Lauterbrunnen to Grindelwald via Wengen and Kleine Scheidegg, making it the world's longest continuous rack and pinion railway or can be reached by hiking. It is a tourist resort for both winter and summer holidays. So you can visit it and enjoy the views, nature and activities all year round.
In today's tour we are going to walk through the town and exploring its beauty. The narrow streets, charming wood houses, and the awesome views of the Lauterbrunnen valley and the surrounding mountains.

Why are all these dwellings so large? Is it because these residential houses have more than one family within it? How or why is there such vast amounts of grass areas verses more treed? Are the more narrower lanes made for two vehicles to pass by each other or is there a common rule regarding this? Was this shot on a day where everything was mostly all closed? Seems so vacant, lifeless, and quiet. Is the live stock used eventually as a food source or for dairy products only thus also explaining the green pastures? No doubt about it, Switzerland is down right gorgeous...and very expensive I would imagine. Are migrants restricted if wanting to live permanently there? Is firewood how they heat these massive homes or is it just an option to electric baseboard heating?
Are they believe in GOD?
